Abstract: A golf driver club and a method for making a golf driver club comprising the steps of:applying a curable coating composition comprising polytetrafluoroethylene to exterior surfaces of a driver head to provide a wet coated driver head;drying the wet coated club driver head by heating at elevated temperatures of from about 350.degree. F. to about 400.degree. F. for from about 4 to about 10 minutes to provide a dried driver head;curing the dried driver head by heating at an elevated temperature of from about 790.degree. F. to about 820.degree. F. for a period of from about 4 to 8 minutes, and thereafter, heating at a temperature of from about 700.degree. F. to about 800.degree. F. for a period of from about 10 to about 30 minutes to provide a driver club head having a cured, firmly adherent coating disposed thereon.
