Patent number: 8025387Abstract: A heating lamp unit (40) is mounted on a head carriage (10) of an inkjet printer (1). Since the heating lamp unit (40) is positioned very close to an ink drop, which is discharged from the inkjet head (11) and dropped on a recording medium (30), and that the heating lamp unit can directly harden the ink drop with heat, the ink drop can be efficiently fixed. When the heating lamp unit (40) is arranged very close to the inkjet head (11), there are possibilities of generating clogging of the nozzle of the inkjet head (11) and thermal failure of the inkjet head itself due to heat released from the heating lamp (40). Since the heating lamp unit (40) can be efficiently cooled by a cooling mechanism (50) using heat pipes (51, 52), the inkjet head can be prevented from being heated.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2007Date of Patent: September 27, 2011Assignee: Mastermind Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chizuo Ozawa

Publication number: 20100220141Abstract: A head carriage of an ink-jet printer is equipped with a heat lamp unit. The heat lamp unit is located very close to ink droplets discharged from an ink-jet head and landing on a recording medium and can directly heat and cure the ink droplets, so that the ink droplets can be efficiently fixed. If the heat lamp unit is placed very close to the ink-jet head, clogging of a nozzle of the ink-jet head and thermal failure of the ink-jet head itself may be caused by heat release of the heat lamp unit, but the heat lamp unit can be cooled efficiently by a cooling mechanism which circulates a refrigerant through a refrigerant circulating pipe by a refrigerant circulating pump, so that the ink-jet head can be prevented from being heated.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2008Publication date: September 2, 2010Applicant: MASTERMIND CO., LTD.Inventor: Chizuo Ozawa

Publication number: 20100214349Abstract: A printing system for T-shirts applies a surface-treatment agent to a printing area of the surface of T-shirts set on a printing bed, by using a surface-treatment ink jet printer equipped with a spray nozzle of a valve-jet type. Next, white ink is applied to the printing area by an ink jet printer for the white ink, and a color image is then printed on the printing area by a color ink jet printer. The cloth-product printing operation needing the surface treatment can be efficiently performed by applying a surface treatment agent onto only the portion needing it with use of the spray nozzle of the valve-jet type.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2008Publication date: August 26, 2010Applicant: MASTERMIND CO., LTDInventor: Chizuo Ozawa

Publication number: 20090073195Abstract: In a rotary printing device, six printing racks disposed at equal angular intervals on the same circle revolve via the printing positions of six printing units arranged at equal angular intervals on the same circle. Five of the printing units are screen printing machines for printing designs and other matter common to the T-shirts. The remaining printing unit is an inkjet printer whereby the wearers' names and other types of individual information specific to each T-shirt are printed on the T-shirts. A highly versatile printing device capable of printing names and other individual information on T-shirts can be attained.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2007Publication date: March 19, 2009Applicant: MASTERMIND CO., LTD.Inventor: Chizuo Ozawa

Publication number: 20050151818Abstract: In an artificial nail printing system (201), each artificial nail printing shop (204) has numerous containers (212) containing artificial nail support bases (243) to which artificial nail materials (211) are adhered. When a customer chooses a desired container (212) and artificial nail printing data, the artificial nail support base (243) is removed from the container and positioned as is, on a carrier surface (74) of the media transport tray (7) of an inkjet printer (1). By transporting the media transport tray (7), each artificial nail material (211) adhered to the artificial nail support base (243) carried thereon is printed. After the printing, the printed surface of the artificial nail material (211) is dried and a protective topcoat is applied.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2002Publication date: July 14, 2005Applicant: Mastermind Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chizuo Ozawa

Patent number: 6332680Abstract: A printing apparatus (1) has an ink-jet printer (2), a medium tray (4) for conveying a medium (3) to be printed by the printer (2), a medium feeding mechanism (5), and a medium retrieving mechanism (6). The printer (2) has an ink-jet printing head (21) and a tray conveyance mechanism for reciprocating the medium tray (4) along a predetermined conveyance path traversing the printing position of the printing head (21). A medium tray (4) carrying an unprinted medium (3) is placed on the medium feeding side of the printer (2), the medium tray (4) is conveyed past the printing position of the printing head (21), and the medium thereon is printed. The medium tray (4) is discharged to a medium tray discharge section (24). After removal of the medium (3), the medium tray (4) is returned to its original position. The medium tray (4) carrying the media (3) is reciprocated for repeated printing of the media (3).Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 1997Date of Patent: December 25, 2001Assignee: Mastermind Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chizuo Ozawa
