Abstract: Multimode wireless communication apparatus supports plural wireless communication methods and includes synchronization detecting part. Digital signals output from first A/D part and second A/D part are combined by synchronization detecting part. Synchronization detecting part converts sampling frequencies of respective digital signals and performs other processes when combining digital signals. Synchronization detecting part detects synchronization timing for plural wireless communication methods by plurally performing correlation operation corresponding to respective wireless communication methods for digital signals combined, thereby providing a multimode wireless communication apparatus with its size and power consumption reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050058941
Abstract: An information recording medium having such a recording material layer on a substrate where reversible phase change between electrically or optically detectable states can be caused by electric energy or electromagnetic energy. The recording material forming the recording layer is either a material having a crystal structure including lattice defects in one phase of the reversible phase change or a material having a complex phase composed of a crystal portion including a lattice defect in one phase of the reversible phase change and an amorphous portion. Both portions contain a common element. A part of the lattice defects are filled with an element other than the element constituting the crystal structure. The recording medium having a recording thin film exhibits little variation of the recording and reproduction characteristics even after repetition of recording and reproduction, excellent weatherability, strong resistance against composition variation, and easily controllable characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20040200056
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide an ultrasonic transducer, which is so configured as to reduce the variations in characteristics, thereby to enable the stabilization of the precision, as well as to enable the improvement of the durability, and the like, a method for manufacturing the ultrasonic transducer, and an ultrasonic flowmeter. In order to attain this object, in accordance with the present invention, the ultrasonic transducer is so configured as to include a piezoelectric element and an acoustic matching layer, wherein the acoustic matching layer is made of a dry gel of an inorganic oxide or an organic polymer, and a solid skeletal part of the dry gel has been rendered hydrophobic. With this configuration, it is possible to obtain the ultrasonic transducer having an acoustic matching layer 3 which is very lightweight and has a small acoustic impedance due to the solid skeletal part of the dry gel which has been rendered hydrophobic.

  • Publication number: 20040200067
Abstract: A method of machining a glass substrate using a laser, in which a low-permittivity, low-dielectric-loss glass substrate, capable of coping with mass production, is made applicable as the substrate of a high-frequency circuit intended in particular for microwave and millimeter-wave bands. For that purpose, a glass substrate is provided in which the amount of air bubbles in glass is arbitrarily controlled to improve the workability of the substrate. Then, the glass substrate is machined by being irradiated with a pulsed laser a plurality of times, thereby improving the machining shape of the glass substrate. Since glass substrates which are typically difficult to machine can be easily applied to the fabrication of high-frequency circuits, it becomes possible to supply high-performance circuits and apparatuses widely to the public.

  • Patent number: 6704933
Abstract: A program configuration management apparatus restores the configuration of programs in the receiving apparatus to an original state if programs downloaded for version-up contain bugs. The program configuration management apparatus includes a program download unit for downloading programs via communication channels, a program management unit for storing the downloaded programs as well as previous versions of the downloaded programs into an object storing unit, and a history information management unit for storing history information concerning the downloaded programs into a history information storing unit. On receiving a previous version reinstallation designation for a specific program from a broadcast center, the program management unit validates a previous version of the specific program stored in the object storing unit by referring to the history information storing unit via the history information management unit.

  • Publication number: 20030067622
Abstract: An electronic-mail apparatus comprises an acceptor that accepts an electronic-mail, an electronic-mail transmitter that transmits the accepted electronic-mail to a designated electronic mail destination address, and an operational panel that includes a start member that starts a transmission of an electronic-mail to a destination address. The operational panel designates an electronic mail destination address, and further designates an alternative destination address, to be used in case of a transmission completion failure, to which a message indicating a failure in completion of a started transmission of an electronic-mail is sent when the transmission of an electronic-mail started by the start member is not completed. The message provides an indication, at the alternative destination address, of a transmission completion failure during transmission of an electronic-mail.

  • Patent number: 5973300
Abstract: An apparatus uniformly heats a plurality of foods in addition to controlling the temperatures of the foods. The heat source has input means, a plurality of temperature detectors, comparison means, and control means. The apparatus detects temperatures of at least two foods, namely one near to the heat source and another far from the heat source by using the temperature detection means, and controls the output of heat from the heat source by comparing these two temperatures with the set-temperature. The apparatus can raise the temperature of foods of lower temperature while maintaining the foods of high temperature at the set-temperature. The plurality of foods can be thus uniformly heated.
