Abstract: An apparatus for use with an access port implanted in a living body includes a locator assembly. The locator assembly includes at least one port sensor configured to sense an aspect of the access port, at least one skin sensor configured to sense a proximity of the apparatus to a skin of the living body, and a controller configured to determine a location of the access port based on the aspect sensed by the at least one port sensor, where the controller instructs the at least one port sensor to sense the aspect based on the proximity of the apparatus to the skin as sensed by the at least one skin sensor. The locator assembly also includes an output device configured to provide user feedback, and the controller is further configured to instruct the output device to provide the feedback based on the determined location of the access port.

The locator assembly includes a port sensor configured to sense an aspect of the access port, a controller configured to determine a location of the access port based on the aspect, and an output device configured to provide user feedback based on the determined location of the access port. The locator assembly also includes an outer housing having a device side coupler. The apparatus furthermore includes a base plate having an adhesive flange configured to adhere the base plate to a skin of the living body, and a base coupler on the adhesive flange and configured to cooperate with the device side coupler such that the base plate is attachable and detachable from the locator assembly.

Abstract: A research kit and methods for facilitating collection of highly usable participant interview clips while conducting ethnographic research is disclosed. An ethnographic research kit may include an outer shipping container for outbound shipping to the participant; tracking information to track delivery of the package from the researchers to and from the participants; camera positioning stickers attached to the outer shipping container, a tablet/smartphone stand; and a return mailer container. A method for using the ethnographic research kit is also disclosed.
