    Abstract: An IFAX IP telephone connects a call to an opposing IFAX IP telephone via the Internet, and executes a voice call process that exchanges voice packets with the connected opposing IFAX IP telephone. When transmitting an image data to the opposing IFAX IP telephone during the voice call to the same telephone, an IFAX packet is generated, the packet having the opposing IFAX IP telephone as the destination. The IFAX packet is transmitted, while prioritizing the voice packet transmission.
