    Abstract: The present invention provides a thermal transfer film which is prevented from static charging phenomenon, sticking phenomenon and staining of thermal head. This transfer film comprises a base film and an antistatic layer comprising an inorganic polymer of polysiloxane containing silanol group or a quaternary ammonium type polyelectrolyte which is provided on at least one side of the base film. A heat meltable ink layer is provided on one side of the base film.
