Abstract: A hydrodynamic bearing device includes a sleeve having a bearing bore substantially at a center portion, a shaft inserted in the bearing bore in a rotatable manner, a thrust plate for supporting an end of the shaft in the thrust direction and an upper retaining portion that has an opening portion through which the shaft passes and covers the upper surface of the sleeve. A radial hydrodynamic bearing is formed between the bearing bore of the sleeve and the shaft, while a thrust hydrodynamic bearing is formed between the thrust plate and an end of the shaft. A first space is formed between the upper surface of the sleeve and the upper retaining portion. A second space is formed between the upper retaining portion and a step portion.

Abstract: In accordance with externally applied data and a control signal, a logic circuit performs an arithmetic operation on the data to produce a control signal corresponding to either an SDRAM operation mode or an EDO-DRAM operation mode. A controller receives the control signal from the logic circuit, and produces a general-purpose SDRAM control signal for applying it to a DRAM core. The DRAM core includes a plurality of decoder circuits provided corresponding to the operation modes for decoding the corresponding control signals to produce internal control signals for a memory cell array, respectively.

Abstract: The dielectric notch filter of the invention includes: a transmission line for transmitting a high-frequency signal; input and output terminals provided at both ends of the transmission line; a ground conductor for supplying a ground potential; and a dielectric resonator connected to the ground conductor and the transmission line. The dielectric notch filter further includes an impedance matching element connected to the ground conductor and the transmission line in parallel with the dielectric resonator. The dielectric resonator includes: a cavity connected to the ground conductor; a dielectric block provided in the cavity; a coupling device coupled with an electromagnetic field produced in the cavity; and a coupling adjusting line for connecting the coupling device to the transmission line and for adjusting the degree of electromagnetic coupling.

Abstract: A fuel tank stores fuel gas. A catalytic burning section is connected to the fuel tank for generating heat based on an oxidative reaction between the fuel supplied from the fuel tank and air. The fuel tank and the catalytic burning section are assembled as a catalytic heat generating apparatus. The catalytic heat generating apparatus is detachably installed in a housing of a heater section. The heater section has both ends provided with a pair of belt portions wound around a user's body.
Abstract: In order to realize highly accurate temperature compensation of a crystal oscillation frequency, a current in proportion to the cube of a difference between an ambient temperature T.sub.a and a reference temperature T.sub.0 is generated. For this purpose, provided are a first series circuit of two diodes; a second series circuit of three diodes; a third series circuit of two diodes; a fourth series circuit of three diodes; a current source for allowing a constant current to flow into the first series circuit; a current source for allowing a constant current to flow from the third series circuit; a current source for allowing a current in proportion to T.sub.a -T.sub.0 to flow into the second series circuit when T.sub.a .gtoreq.T.sub.0 and allowing a current in proportion to .vertline.T.sub.a -T.sub.0 .vertline. to flow from the fourth series circuit when T.sub.a <T.sub.
