Patent number: 7691512Abstract: A condenser condenses an unused exhaust gas exhausted from a fuel cell and recovers water, condensation-capacity detection means always monitors the condensation capacity of the condenser, control means controls an output of heat-transport-medium circulation means, stores the exhaust heat of the fuel cell in heat-using means when a sufficient condensation capacity is left, and stops the heat-transport-medium circulation means to complete exhaust-heat recovery when the condensation capacity lowers. Moreover, a fuel cell, a cooling pipe through which a first heating medium of carrying the heat of the fuel cell circulates, a cooling-water pump of circulating the first heating medium, and a fuel-cell-temperature detector of detecting the temperature of the fuel cell are used to operate a cooling-water pump until the temperature detected by the fuel-cell-temperature detector becomes a predetermine threshold value or less even after supply of a fuel and an oxidant to the fuel cell is stopped.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2006Date of Patent: April 6, 2010Assignees: Panasonic Corporation, Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Shinji Miyauchi, Masataka Ozeki, Koichi Nishimura

Patent number: 7422423Abstract: A refrigerant compressor includes a compressor section, driver, a first contact section and a second contact section. The compressor section is accommodated in a closed container for compressing refrigerant gas. The driver drives the compressor section. The first and second contact sections are brought into contact with each other or they slide with each other by driving the compressor section. On the surface of each one of the contact sections, at least one of plural recesses uniformly placed or a mixed layer, to which molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is bound, is formed. The foregoing structure allows increasing the abrasion resistance of the first and second contact sections.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2003Date of Patent: September 9, 2008Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Hirotaka Kawabata, Takahide Nagao, Akihiko Kubota, Hironari Akashi, Kosuke Tsuboi, Takashi Kakiuchi, Makoto Katayama, Takeshi Kojima

Patent number: 7381032Abstract: In a hermetic compressor in a freezing refrigerating system or an air-conditioning system such as a refrigerator or a showcase, a construction is disclosed for intending to provide a low-noise hermetic compressor by effectively attenuating a pressure pulsation having occurred in a compression chamber with a suction muffler. By this construction, since a muffler cover 20 has a planar simple shape, the deformation upon molding becomes little and it can come into fully close contact with a muffler main body 19. Therefore, the pressure pulsation hardly leaks through the connecting portion between the muffler main body 19 and the muffler cover 20. The full silencing effect that the suction muffler 18 has is obtained and thereby noise can be reduced more effectively.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2001Date of Patent: June 3, 2008Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Masahiko Osaka, Hidetoshi Nishihara, Toshihiko Ota, Akihiko Kubota, Manabu Motegi, Hiroki Awashima, Takeshi Kojima, Kazuhito Noguchi, Ichiro Kita, Masahiro Kakutani

Patent number: 7316125Abstract: An insulation box unit and a refrigerator of the present invention employs i) rigid urethane foam with a 8.0 MPa-or-greater bending modulus, and a 60 kg/m3-or-lower density, and ii) a vacuum insulation material. The proper bending modulus provides the insulation box unit with a substantial strength, even in the case that the coverage of the vacuum insulation material with respect to the surface of the outer box exceeds 40%. The proper density prevents the insulation box unit from poor insulation efficiency due to undesired solid thermal conductivity. Despite of an extended use of the vacuum insulation material, the insulation box unit offers an excellent insulation efficiency and therefore accelerates energy saving. According to the recycling method of the present invention, rigid urethane foam formed of tolylene di-isocyanate composition, which was separated from refrigerator wastes, is recycled as a material of rigid urethane foam.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2002Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Kazutaka Uekado, Masato Sasaki, Akira Nakano, Yoshiki Ohashi

Patent number: 7249937Abstract: A hermetic electric compressor including sealed container and coil spring provided for elastically supporting electric compression element housed in sealed container. A consideration has been made to avoid the coincidence in the resonance frequency between coil spring mounted with electric compression element and mechanical vibration caused by electric compression element, or a cavity formed in space. By so doing, creation of a resonation with coil spring is suppressed, and noises and vibrations with the hermetic electric compressors are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2003Date of Patent: July 31, 2007Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Akira Inoue, Seigo Yanase, Ikutomo Umeoka, Atsushi Naruse

Patent number: 7244108Abstract: This invention relates to a hermetic compressor used on a refrigerant cycle such as a refrigerator, and discloses a low noise compressor designed to attenuate a resonance sound in a compression chamber and intake pressure pulsing more operatively at a position adjacent to their sources, which intake pressure pulsing occurs at an intake valve port. In the compressor, a resonance space 38 is provided adjacent to the intake valve port 29 that is closer in distance to a noise source. As a result, noise can be reduced more operatively than muffling functions of an intake muffler 31 do. In addition, although acoustic characteristics of the intake muffler 31 amplify noises having specific frequencies, such noises can be attenuated before being amplified.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2001Date of Patent: July 17, 2007Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Akihiko Kubota, Hidetoshi Nishihara, Masahiko Osaka, Toshihiko Ota, Hiroki Awashima, Manabu Motegi, Kazuhito Noguchi, Takeshi Kojima, Masahiro Kakutani

Patent number: 7061208Abstract: A temperature regulator efficiently regulates a temperature of a storage battery. The regulator includes a thermoelectric transducer having a first face and a second face. The first face is thermally coupled with one or plural storage batteries, and the second face is thermally coupled with a thermal action accelerating medium that accelerates thermal action on the second face. The first face and the second face do two jobs contradictory to each other, i.e., heat dissipation and heat absorption, responsive to a polarity in exciting the battery. This structure allows the temperature regulator to cool down and warm up the storage battery.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2002Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: Matsushita Refrigeration CompanyInventors: Hideo Nishihata, Osao Kido
