Abstract: A thermal insulator comprises an expanded resin body having embedded therein an evacuated powder insulation portion which consists of fine powder and a container of film-like plastics or a film-like composite of plastics and metal for enclosing the powder. The resin body has been expanded by a Freon gas as a blowing agent. Since a Freon gas has a larger molecular diameter than the constituent gases of air, it is less likely to permeate through the container than air. Thus present invention provides a novel composite insulator which fully utilizes the benefits of vacuum insulation without necessitating a strong and costly material for a vacuum container.

Abstract: A refrigerant compressor for use in refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps or the like apparatus. The refrigerant pump has a casing which encases a combination of a compressor and an electric motor. A spring guide has an attaching base portion fixed to a bearing supporting a crank shaft driven by the motor, and an oil pipe connected to the attaching base such that the inside of the oil pipe opens to one end of the crank shaft. The oil pipe is bent so that the free end thereof is immersed in the lubricating oil in the case. The oil pipe receives a closely-coiled spring which is fixed at its one end to the end of the crank shaft while the other end is immersed in the lubricating oil. As the compressor operates, the coiled spring rotates in the oil pipe so that the lubricating oil is sucked by the lead of the coiled spring through the gap formed between the inner peripheral surface of the oil pipe and the coiled spring.

Abstract: A refrigerant compressor suitable for use in refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps or the like apparatus. The refrigerant compressor has a closed casing which encases a driving electric motor section and a compressor section constructed as a unit. The compressor section has a substantially horizontal crank shaft consisting of a main shaft portion fixed to one end of the rotor of the driving motor, an eccentric portion rotatably carrying a rotary piston and an end journal portion. The lubrication system of this compressor has a passage means for introducing a lubricating oil to various parts requiring lubrication, and a lubricator adapted to supply the lubrication oil to the passage means. The passage means includes a peripheral oil groove formed in the portion having crank shaft of the minimum eccentricity and connected at its one end to a peripheral oil groove formed in the main shaft portion and at its other end to a peripheral oil groove in the journal portion of the crank shaft.

Abstract: A combination vibration damper and fastener comprises head portions of the shape of a suction disc opposed back to back to each other across a space and adapted to collide with two separate panels, shanks extended in opposite directions from the head portions and provided with engaging means, damper pieces extended aslant from the head portions so as to be opposed to each other, and a connecting piece serving to connect the two head portions to each other. Insertion of the opposite shanks into the fitting holes bored in advance in the two panels fastens the two panels as separated by a fixed distance from each other. Vibration arising in one of the panels is absorbed by the damper pieces and prevented from reaching the other panel.

Abstract: Refrigerating machine oil to be filled in a sealed motor-compressor unit constituting a refrigerating cycle system including an electric refrigerator, an electric cold-storage box, a small-scaled electric refrigerating show-case, a small-scaled electric cold-storage show-case and the like, is arranged to have a specifically enhanced property, in which smaller initial driving power consumption of the sealed motor-compressor and easier supply of the predetermined amount of the refrigerating machine oil to the refrigerating system are both guaranteed even in a rather low environmental temperature condition.
