Abstract: A water based ink composition which can be used effectively in various ink jet type printing arrangements and on a variety of predetermined substrate surfaces. Such ink composition being resistant to smearing and running when contacted by water after application and drying on such substrate surfaces. This water based ink composition comprising a dye material, having a predetermined color, which is present in the ink composition generally in a range of between about 0.1 weight percent and about 10.0 weight percent. Water is present in such ink composition generally in a range of between about 50.0 weight percent and about 80.0 weight percent. There is a substantially water compatible organic solvent compound for dissolving such dye material therein. The organic solvent compound is present in such ink composition generally in a range of between about 10.0 weight percent and about 40.0 weight percent.

Abstract: A marking head assembly having a body portion. An aperture formed through such body portion having an ink cartridge assembly disposed therein. A heating element carried by the body portion to heat the ink cartridge assembly to a predetermined temperature capable of melting an ink supply. A heat control device connected to the heating element to control temperature. A locking device is secured to the body portion which engages the ink cartridge assembly to lock it in position and to prevent longitudinal movement when in the body portion of the marking head assembly. A cap assembly is engaged with the body portion adjacent one end of the ink cartridge assembly to enable pneumatic pressure to be supplied to such ink cartridge assembly. There is a marking tip assembly carried by the second end of such cartridge assembly.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided which enables ink used in a print head disposed in an ink jet printing arrangement to be produced, in situ, from an ink concentrate and a diluting agent. Such apparatus includes a generally hollow fluid-tight housing member. A collapsible ink concentrate container is provided for containing a predetermined volume of ink concentrate therein. The container is disposed in an interior portion of such housing member. A connection is disposed on the housing member and in fluid communication with the interior portion of such housing member for connecting the housing member to a source of fluid pressure. An ink concentrate fluid communication passageway is connected to the ink concentrate container for communicating a predetermined volume of ink concentrate to a mixing apparatus. A fluid communication is established for communicating a diluting agent from the interior portion of such housing member to the mixing apparatus.

Further, this invnetion provides a method of and an apparatus for establishing substantial synchronization of the rotational speed of the working surface of a printing plate cylinder with the linear speed of a substrate material to be printed in a package printing arrangement. Abstract: A memorial candle fixture includes a cast frame member comprising two substantially identical mating frame halves, preferably cast from bronze. Each frame half has a top portion and a base portion interconnected by two pairs of ribs which are positioned at a vertical parting plane extending along the faces of the mating frame halves. An open region is defined between the top and base portions and ribs of the frame halves for placement of a candle and an enclosing decorative candle cover therein. The frame halves carry interlocking members on the top and base portions for detachably securing the frame halves together whereby the candle and its cover are securely confined within the open region. The base carries peripheral lugs on a flared pedestal thereof for locking engagement with a memorial plate installed at the grave site.

Abstract: A rotatable hand tool for cleaning soil, stones, grass cuttings and like accumulated debris from a blind hole such as a memorial vase hole. The device comprises a cylindrical head portion having a transverse plate member fitted therein in spaced relation to a terminal end thereof. The plate member has a cutout section and carries a downwardly depending cutting edge along one side of the cutout and an upwardly curved section along the opposed side. A shaft with a transverse handle is affixed to the head portion to permit rotation of the head and cutting edge about a longitudinal axis of the device. A vertical barrier plate is affixed within the head member adjacent to the cutout section to prevent accumulated material dislodged by the cutting edge and entrained within the device from escaping from a storage reservoir defined by the sidewalls and plate member.

Abstract: An urn-like cannister for storing and transporting cremated remains, preferably of a molded plastic material, includes a pliable lid with sealing edges for enclosure of the remains in a substantially water and air tight environment. The cannister has a flanged portion around its top periphery and tapered locking tabs outwardly extending on its sidewalls and in spaced relationship to the cannister flange. The cannister is adapted to be inserted into one of an array of like openings formed in a niche plate, of a type having a recessed flange surrounding each niche opening. Upon insertion, the flange and locking tabs of the cannister engage opposing surfaces of the niche plate flange to securely hold the cannister in place. The niche plate opening is then closed by a scroll plate which is attached to the niche plate by threaded tamper proof fasteners.
