Abstract: A soft splint structure is wrappable around a patient's jointed limb. A plurality of interconnected elongated soft fabric sleeves are flexibly connected at their side edges to form a unitary structure. The sleeves define individual pockets which are partially filled with flowable lightweight expanded foam beads or other material which does not absorb moisture and freely passes air and moisture through the structure. The lightweight structure forms a soft splint which is wrappable around a patient's jointed limb and secured in place with a quick fastening means. The splint is quickly and easily installed and removed. When compressed, the sleeve members resist bending to keep a patient's limb in an unflexed extended position. In an extremely lightweight construction, the structure readily passes air and moisture therethrough and quickly dries in air after washing.

Abstract: A single, dual or multiple portable baby support seat is made from mostly interchangeable components of commonly available and inexpensive materials. A frame is formed from two or more spaced apart upright frame members in side-by-side arrangement, the frame members having a base leg for resting on a surface, a support leg raised over the base leg for defining the edge of a baby holding unit and supporting a unit fabric support member, the support leg being supported through an intermediate curved leg connected to the base leg. The frame members are held in side-by-side upright position by transverse members connecting the distal ends through elbow-like or T-like connectors. The connectors are at least partially disconnectable and rotatable with respect to the frame members so that the frame members may be folded flat for transportation or storage. An open mesh, non-absorbent, non-slip fabric forms the fabric support member and includes a strap to secure a baby.

Abstract: A baby bather has an open mesh coated fabric envelope filled to a soft cushion shape with lightweight buoyant foam plastic beads for supporting a baby floating in a tub or over a sink. The center portion of the cushion has a gradual depression having a centrally located panel for free flow of water. The cushion facilitates bathing, provides support and protection for baby's head, and is completely non-absorbent, machine washable and quick drying. Methods of manufacture are provided.

Abstract: A machine washable wedge shaped support structure is formed from a fabric envelope loosely filled with lightweight, preferably polystyrene, beads which shape it. The fabric may have a non-skid surface to resist sliding in use. The wedge conforms to a patient's or infant's body. When compressed, the fabric envelope and beads lock into a roll-preventing support structure. One alternate version has a stabilizing panel extending from the pointed end of the wedge on which a patient lies. Another version has a connecting panel between two opposing triangular shaped wedges. It provides roll preventing support for a pregnant woman and doubles as an anti-roll pad for infants.
