  • Patent number: 9679427
Abstract: A biometric audio security system comprises providing an input voice audio source. The input audio is enhanced in two or more harmonic and dynamic ranges by re-synthesizing the audio into a full range PCM wave. A hardware key with a set of audio frequency spikes (identifiers) with varying amplitude and frequency values is provided. The enhanced voice audio input and the key using additive resynthesis are summed. The voice and the spike set is compared against the users identification signature to verify user's identity. The set of audio spikes are user specific. The spikes are stored on the protected key device as a template, which would plug into the system. The template is determined by the owner/manufacturer of the system. The spikes are created and identified using the additive synthesis technique with a predetermined number of partials (harmonics). The identifiers include both positive and negative values. The amplitude and frequency values are spaced in very fine intervals.

Abstract: A Noise Cancellation Process for Aircraft is disclosed. According to one embodiment, an input audio source corresponding to sound received from multiple microphones situated equidistantly in both directions in a two dimensional plane, is converted to a digital signal via an analog to digital (A/D) convertor. The A/D converted audio is analyzed for content to identify ambient noise. The frequency, amplitude and phase of the identified ambient noise is subsequently determined. A Noise correction sound wave is generated with negative phase of that corresponding to the identified ambient noise. The noise correction sound wave is added to the identified noise to create a noise corrected sound.

  • Publication number: 20150326195
Abstract: An audio enhancement technique comprises an audio source. The audio source is split into at least two branches and each of the branches is processed by a filter bank. Outputs from the filer banks are summed up to create a summed output signal. The summed output signal is splitting into two or more segments to create a split summed output signal. The split summed output signal is processed by one or more audio processing modules. Audio processed by each of the audio processing modules is summed to create a summed audio processed signal. The summed audio processed signal is provided to a balance module to select a balance mix of the audio source and the summed audio processed signal to create a balanced mixed audio signal. The balanced mixed audio signal is fed to a stereo output gain module for gain adjustment to create a gain adjusted stereo signal.

  • Publication number: 20150005661
Abstract: A process and system for reducing Tinnitus includes receiving an input audio sound by a user. The user listens to different tones (frequencies) of the received audio to determine both amplitude and frequency of the ringing or tinnitus tone in user's ears and provides tactile response on an input device (keyboard, etc.). The offending frequencies and amplitudes are identified based on the user's responses and a diagnosis from the data collected is produced and a tone map for each ear separately is created and the collection of tones and amplitudes are provided to the user to hear. User is tested for amplitude of these tones and the tones are increased until the audible ringing disappears as the phase of these tones will be shifted from zero to negative 180 degrees and as their level is increased, the ringing will decrease until it is substantially reduced.

  • Publication number: 20150003633
Abstract: A process and system for enhancing and customizing sound comprises receiving an input audio sound and processing the input by one or more filter blocks to dynamically reshape the dynamic, phase and frequency content of the input audio sound. The parallel processed audio is combined in a sound mixer and tube harmonics are added to the output from the mixer. The tube harmonics added audio is fed to a highpass filter which sets a frequency limit of audio passing through this block. A low pass filter movines the audio in a plus or minus direction with a dynamic envelope control. A frequency divider is provided for shifting audio sound below a selected frequency down an octave. Output from this stage is edited by feeding a certain amount of each side of the audio to a corresponding opposite side. The frequency balance is adjusted by setting a band phase coherent equalizer for frequency adjustments. The original, unprocessed sound is then mixed with the processed audio.

Abstract: A Device Echo Cancellation system and process are disclosed. According to one embodiment, the present invention comprises an input audio source that is converted to a digital signal via a PCM convertor where the amplitude of the input audio source is sampled at regular intervals and translated into digital PCM audio. The resulting PCM audio is analyzed for its dynamic and harmonic content. Corrective sound waves are then generated that reduce the repetition of the original audio (echoes). The corrective sound waves are applied to the repeating audio echoes to create corrected sound waves. The corrected audio is then outputted from the system.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for improving audio, comprising processing audio with a combination of wave adjustment tool WAT and a collection of preset settings for adjusting specific harmonic content to specific genres of music. The preset is selected from the group comprising different genres (styles or types) of music; auto-preset; and generic preset. The auto preset value is determined by the metadata which is commonly included in an audio file. In the event there is no match between the preset genre names and the one in the metadata, then the selected preset will be “Generic.” This particular genre preset is designed for optimal sound across many genres, making it generic. The wave adjustment tool (WAT) allows for low, mid, and hi tone controls. The process is carried out by installing software in an existing audio path immediately after initial input and prior to output. A host device provides for a buffer to allow for processing of audio.
