Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a dynamic badge for accessing a facility are disclosed. The dynamic badge may include a display of one or more objects that change shape over time according to a predetermined pattern. The dynamic badge may visible at a specified distance (such as a social distancing limitation). The dynamic badge may be scanned or recognized by a scanning device at the specified distance to determine facility access for a user of the badge.

Abstract: A method of optimizing and managing processes for responding to requests (such as claims for benefits, or insurance applications) includes creating a process definition, performing an optimization of a resource employed for the process, and developing recommendations for process design or execution based on the simulation and optimization. In some cases, the resource being optimized is staffing. In some cases, the requests relate to acquisition of health insurance or governmental program services (for example, health insurance exchanges, benefit eligibility, Medicaid enrollment). The optimization may be non-deterministic and consider uncertainty factors. In some cases, a staffing level is estimated based on the optimization.
Abstract: A method for providing passenger accountability for airports and other mass transit facilities is disclosed. In operation, a check-in agent receives information identifying a passenger seeking to board a commercial carrier. The passenger is designated as checked-in, and then the present system may use a frequent flyer card or a boarding pass to monitor a location of the checked-in passenger prior to boarding the commercial carrier.

Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable medium for performing a search operation are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes the step of establishing a wireless connection between at least one of a plurality of search-and-rescue devices and a server. Next, the method transmits data from a first search-and-rescue device to the server. Once the server receives the data, it processes the data, and then transmits a request to the first search-and-rescue device to alter a direction of travel, in response to the data received.
Abstract: A process for use of a low-cost personal computer to display video images which provide the effect of animation in synchronization with an audio program, such as voice or environmental sounds, originating independently of the computer. The computer is provided with a data base including intervals between recorded cue tones preceding the audio program, and intervals between video events to be synchronized with the audio program, all such original intervals corresponding to the original recording transport speed of the audio program. While consumer audio playback devices operate at a stable playback transport speed, it is seldom precisely the same as the original recording speed. During playback, the viewer indicates playback intervals between cue tones, for instance by tapping a key of the computer keyboard whenever a cue tone is played.
