Patent number: 11090785Abstract: A bit holder has a shank at a proximal end thereof and a blind bit-accepting hole at a distal end thereof, shaped to receive a correspondingly-shaped tool bit. The bit holder has at least one locking mechanism comprising an opening defined in the bit holder, opening into a side of the bit-accepting hole. A locking element in the opening is moveable towards the opening to contact a tool bit in the bit-accepting hole. The bit holder has a sleeve around a body portion of the bit holder, overlying the opening and biased by a spring towards a normal position. The sleeve has an internal ramp angled to contact the locking element to urge the locking element towards the tool bit as the sleeve is moved into the normal position, and to accommodate the locking element when the sleeve is moved from the normal position against the force of the spring.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2018Date of Patent: August 17, 2021Assignee: Maxtech Consumer Products LimitedInventors: Satnam Singh, Kailash C Vasudeva

Patent number: 9163438Abstract: A door stay for attachment to a door above a floor, the door stay comprising a mounting means, and a floor-contacting element rotatably mounted on said mounting means, the floor-contacting element being biased against said floor by the mounting means. Preferably, the floor-contacting element is a ball and the ball moves over the floor under tension. The door stay provides significant advantages in the positioning of a door so that it will not swing to and fro, but which can still nevertheless be swung open when desired by manual operation of the door. The door stay is attachable to the lower edge of the door, wherever required and removed when no longer required, or when it is required somewhere else. All of these features are provided in a relatively simple low cost door stay which is highly effective in practical use.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2014Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: Maxtech Consumer Products LimitedInventors: Timothy Mackay, Olivier Mayrand, Gilles Louis Vachon

Patent number: 8544909Abstract: The manual lifting device has a first and second arms, pivotally connected to each other, each having a downward projection from a distal end thereof, extending generally vertically when in use. A handle is mounted on one of the arms, extending generally over the center of gravity of the device. Positioning the device so that the downward projections loosely contact edges of an object to be lifted, and then lifting the handle, causes the arms to pivot downwardly relative to each other, thereby causing the downward projections to rotate inwardly to grasp the object. Alternatively, there is a central handle, and the two arms pivot downwardly from opposite ends of the handle.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2012Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: Maxtech Consumer Products LimitedInventors: John B. Publication number: 20130180878Abstract: A plastic package uses a substrate and an overlay, where both the substrate and the overlay are of materials which can be recycled together, for example polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The plastic used for the overlay may be different from the plastic used for the substrate, provided that the plastics are of the same thermoplastic family, or are of types which are compatible for recycling together. A method of making the package includes the steps of: positioning the product on a vacuum-forming fixture; heating a first layer of thermoplastic, positioning it over the product, and applying a vacuum to the fixture to pull the first layer of thermoplastic onto the product; and thermally bonding the first layer and a second layer of recycling-compatible thermoplastic to each other with the product between them, so as to capture the product. Apparatus having lease two stations is provided to carry out the method and thereby produce the package.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2013Publication date: July 18, 2013Applicant: Maxtech Consumer Products LimitedInventor: Maxtech Consumer Products Limited

Publication number: 20130119064Abstract: A paint bucket has a preferably removable divider, the divider having a magnet positioned such that at least two paint brushes can be held by it, at least one on each side of the divider. Preferably, at least a portion of the divider is a grid for wiping excess paint off a brush in use. A paint tray has spaced-apart male and female connections, such that when one said liner is inverted over another liner, the liners mate with each other via the male and female connection means, the respective connection means of one liner mating with the opposite connection means of the other liner.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2012Publication date: May 16, 2013Applicant: Maxtech Consumer Products LimitedInventors: Timothy MacKay, Guoli Jian
