Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for simply inducing an anti-apoptotic effect and/or an anti-necrotic effect in a living cell with good control without administering any drug. The method includes applying an alternating-current voltage to the living cell so that an electric current of 25 ?A or higher but 75 ?A or lower flows to induce an anti-apoptotic effect and/or an anti-necrotic effect in the living cell. The living cell used may be a cultured cell. The alternating-current voltage may be applied to a stage member on which a container holding the living cell is placed.

Abstract: A treating apparatus includes a container having an interior set at a predetermined temperature, a support means for supporting an object to be treated in the container such that insulation is maintained between the container and the object to be treated, and an alternating-current power applying means for applying an alternating-current voltage which is not smaller than 10V and not larger than 5 kV, through the support means, to the object to be treated such that a current which is not smaller than 1 ?A and not larger than 1,000 mA flows therein, wherein oxidation of the object to be treated is suppressed by providing the above current to the object to be treated.
Abstract: To provide an active water producing method of inexpensively producing active water in a short time and an apparatus thereof. In the method and the apparatus, purified water 11 that is generated by removing impurities from water is heated by means of a heater 13, while being applied with a voltage.
Abstract: An alternating current voltage application apparatus of the present invention includes a treatment chamber having a wall part of conductive member for accommodating a target; an electrode provided in the treatment chamber for applying a voltage to the target; and an alternating current power source in which one output terminal and the other output terminal are connected to the treatment chamber and the electrode, respectively. This alternating current voltage application apparatus applies to a target an alternating current voltage of 10V or more and 5 kV or less such that current of 1 ?A or more and 1000 mA or less flows.
