  • Patent number: 10994936
Abstract: A conveyor comprises an endless belt and a belt return device. The endless belt comprises an upper run and a lower run and is configured to convey conveying material in a conveying direction. An intermediate space is defined between the upper run and the lower run. The belt return device facilitates transitioning of the endless belt between the lower run and the upper run. The endless belt defines at least one passage opening which allows the exit of at least a portion of an intermediate space material which is formed by a portion of the conveying material which has reached the intermediate space. At least a portion of the endless belt comprises a conveyor track and a passage track. The passage track defines the at least one passage opening. The conveyor track and the passage track are arranged side by side in the conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 10457488
Abstract: The present application discloses vertical spiral conveyors for transporting loose material without the use of vibration or oscillation and methods of transporting materials without the use of vibration or oscillation. In certain embodiments, the vertical spiral conveyor comprises a vertical spiral fabrication having a spiral conveyor tray connected to a vertical member that is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation, a drive arm extending from the vertical spiral fabrication, and a drive system for rotating the vertical spiral fabrication about the axis of rotation. The drive system comprises a power source and a transmission coupled to the drive arm. The drive system generates alternating forward and backward strokes on the drive arm that rotate the vertical spiral fabrication clockwise and counterclockwise about the axis of rotation to cause loose material to be conveyed around the spiral conveyor tray.

  • Patent number: 7648632
Abstract: A device is disclosed for receiving and separating chips and coolant collecting on machine tools in which unfiltered coolant is prevented from penetrating tanks for filtered coolant in the event a receiving tank overflows. This is achieved in that holders, whose projecting ends, which are directed downward, extend into an overflow channel, are tightly attached externally to the wall of the receiving tank. The overflow channel is guided around the device at a level below the top edge of the receiving tank and is removably held on the holders. The overflow channel tightly covers tanks located beneath it having filtered coolant. The inner edge of the overflow channel neighboring the receiving tank lies at a higher level than the outer edge of the overflow channel, which is further away from the receiving tank, and at least one outlet device is provided in the bottom region of the overflow channel.

  • Patent number: 6736342
Abstract: A method and two apparatuses for comminuting chips are presented. Chip breakers without a coarse-part ejecting element are often used for comminuting chips. Blocking constituents therefore have to be removed with great effort, for example by hand. If a coarse-part ejecting element is present, there is no differentiation between blocking hard parts and blocking clumps of chips, but instead both types are ejected. It is now envisaged to subdivide blocking constituents in horizontal chip breakers into categories, depending on the negative acceleration of the shaft (3, 17, 18) caused by the blocking, and to assign to each category a defined reversing operation for loosening the blocking constituents and, if appropriate, discharge from the comminuting space (1, 15) by means of a coarse-part ejecting element (12, 32).
