Patents Assigned to Mazzer Luigi S.R.L.
  • Patent number: 8826803
Abstract: A coffee grinder-dispenser comprising a base housing an electric motor, with a vertically extending rotatable shaft which is connected to a grinder located in a grinding chamber. A vessel located above the grinding chamber receives coffee beans to be ground. A closure plate allows the coffee beans to enter the grinding chamber. A conduit allows the coffee, after grinding, to be delivered to a funnel; the ground coffee passes downwardly through the funnel into a filter holder. One cooling fan faces the grinding chamber, is activated by a keypad on the funnel, and delivers air transversely across the interior of the housing. A second cooling fan is located on the vertical shaft of the electric motor. The fans are operated by a controller, located within the housing, and provide sufficient cooling air to the grinding chamber to maintain the desired qualities of taste and aroma in the ground coffee.

  • Patent number: 8297546
Abstract: A device for locking the micrometric adjustment of the degree of grinding in coffee grinders includes a hollow cylindrical casing for housing a lower grinding wheel carrier, which is connected to a motion transmission shaft, and for housing an upper grinding wheel carrier, which is axially movable; and a threaded ring nut engagable in the casing to adjust the position of the upper grinding wheel carrier, wherein the ring nut has at least one seat for inserting a peg for locking its rotation, and the casing has an undercut slot in which a slider cooperating with the peg is housed, the thickness of the slider being less than the thickness of the slot. A member engages the slider and causes it to rise and to interfere by friction with the upper wall of the slot.

  • Patent number: 7337714
Abstract: An apparatus for pressing coffee has a base and housing supporting a filtercup and a pressing cylinder. The pressing cylinder has a forked end engaging a cylindrical body and attached to a rocker arm. A counterweight is attached to an end of the rocker arm. The cylindrical body has a rack engaging a ring gear activated by a lever. Movement of the lever causes movement of the cylindrical body and pressing cylinder. A pinion attached to the cylindrical body moves along a second rack. Movement of the pinion is translated to a bevel gear pair and a pin between the prongs of the forked end.

  • Patent number: 6948668
Abstract: A coffee grinder-dispenser comprising a base, a grinder located within the base, an electric motor for operating the grinder, and a hopper, or cup, for receiving the coffee beans to be ground. A funnel is secured to the base, to receive the ground coffee, or powder via a distribution channel that extends in a horizontal plane. A grid, comprising spaced stainless steel rods, extending vertically and horizontally, is positioned in the entry hole or port of the funnel in alignment with the distribution conduit of the grinder-dispenser. The grid reduces the velocity of the ground coffee, or powder, so that the powder does not accumulate upon, or adhere to, the walls of the funnel. Consequently, when a lever on the base is operated, an accurate amount of ground coffee is discharged from the funnel into a conventional filter holder.
