Patents Assigned to MBB GmbH
  • Patent number: 4728059
Abstract: The internal wall such as the rear wall in the passenger compartment of a commercial aircraft, and separating compartments which are under different pressure, is rendered safe by providing a wall capturing net on the low pressure side of the wall and fastening that net to the fuselage proper.

  • Patent number: 4720066
Abstract: A flap arrangement for an aircraft wing having along its trailing edge independently actuated high lift flap and spoiler. During cruising the flap is used for camber line curvature control while the spoiler is controlled in a follow up configuration such that a gap between the spoiler and the high lift flap does not form.

  • Patent number: 4659041
Abstract: In an unmanned craft with a tail end propeller the improvement of a parachute landing system for causing the craft to land while being suspended by a parachute of the system; the fuselage for the craft has a rearwardly, laterally and, thus, asymmetrically arranged opening leading into a storage compartment for a pilot and a principal parachute system; a flap normally closes the opening but being openable and pivotable in outward direction about an axis being at least approximately vertical to the horizontal disposition of the craft and for about 135.degree.; a cable locks and limits the outward pivoting of the flap, acting as a rudder to steer the craft for 180.degree. during parachute deployment.

  • Patent number: 4645142
Abstract: One end of a hose is affixed to the underside of the object which may descend and whose impact has to be cushioned while the other end of the hose is pulled through the first end, the two ends are separately fastened permitting filling of the hose; a second hose may be inserted in the first one to provide separate filling spaces, one being the interior of the second hose and the other one being the gas space between the two hoses whereby different pressures permit selection of the resilient characteristics of the cushion.

  • Patent number: 4618259
Abstract: A combined sun and star sensing system for attitude and position control of a space vehicle, includes a star image sensor having a first objective and a first detector array arranged in the focal plane, the objective being constructed for a well defined aberration so as to convert a point like object into a defined spot or area having a diameter larger than the diameter of an element of the detector array; the sun sensor has a regular objective and a second detector array is arranged in the image plane of that objective sun sensor; the two detector arrays have similar and a similar number of detector elements, and are alternately connected to a single evaluating electronic.
