Patent number: 12000269Abstract: A method is provided for remote monitoring, decision making and operation of one or more parameters of on-site well operation equipment. The method includes collecting data corresponding to the at least one parameter by one or more on-site sensor modules assigned to the equipment for monitoring joint make-up of tubing and casing connections; transmitting the collected data to an on-site make-up monitoring system; transmitting said collected data from the on-site make-up monitoring system to a cloud or edge-based system for storage, display and analysis; accessing collected day by one or more users via one or more dedicated remote portals for review or analysis; and transmitting instructions from any one or more users via the remote portal and cloud or edge-based system back to the on-site make-up monitoring system for modifying the operation of the equipment within predefined limits.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2020Date of Patent: June 4, 2024Assignee: MCCOY GLOBAL INC.Inventors: Gareth Dustin Sonnier, Bing Deng, Richard Chism, Andrei Dmitriev

Patent number: 11965385Abstract: A casing running tool is provided, including one or more sensors built into the casing running tool; an electronics housing that includes one or more power sources for powering the one or more sensors; one or more circuit boards for converting sensor data for transmission and transmission means for transmitting sensor data. The one or more sensors sense tool status and operational parameters of the casing running tool. A system is also provided for detection, processing and transmission of one or parameters of tool status and operational status of a casing running tool or associated tools in a casing installation or casing while drilling operation. The system includes a casing running tool; and a processor for receiving sensor data for processing and transmitting processed data in real-time for viewing by an operator. A method is further provided for performing a casing installation or casing while drilling operation.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: MCCOY GLOBAL INC.Inventors: Gareth Dustin Sonnier, Matthew J. Hickl, Richard Chism

Patent number: 10975633Abstract: The present invention is a modification of U.S. Pat. No. 9,416,601 that is incorporated herein as if fully set forth. Once the tool is secure to the tubular, axial translation of the driving nut to the “locked” position prevents selective grip or release. A slot cut in the driven nut and in the surrounding housing allows additional right hand rotation so that a lug is captured on a shoulder to prevent subsequent axial compression of the selective grip assembly, where the tubular grip will be maintained with rotation. By preventing the tool from moving to the “unlocked” position when set down weight from the rig as applied, it can be operated in a variety of common conditions in today's well drilling environments with applied tension or compression as well as rotation in a direction that leaves the lug captured on a ledge adjacent the slot cut in the driven nut.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2019Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: MCCOY GLOBAL INC.Inventor: Matthew J. Publication number: 20150345234Abstract: A tubular handling tool is taught for use as an elevator, comprising one or more slips movably retained by one or more upper and lower rings, wherein the upper and lower rings provide constraint against radial expansion forces. A frame is taught for an elevator comprising one or more upper and lower rings and one or more removable means for connecting the upper and lower rings and attaching the frame to a top drive. A tubular handling tool is taught for use as a top mount spider comprising one or more slips movably retained by one or more upper and lower rings, wherein the upper and lower rings provide constraint against radial expansion forces. A tubular handling tool is taught for use as a flush mount spider comprising one or more slips movably retained on an upper ring and a lower ring. A slip is taught comprising a movable sliphead.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2013Publication date: December 3, 2015Applicant: MCCOY GLOBAL INC.Inventors: Anandraj DAIRIAM, Ronaldus R.M.
