Abstract: A shopping cart storage station for installation in a parking lot or other large area has an end frame and a first elongate side wall assembly connected to the end structure's first side leg, and a second elongate side wall assembly connected to the end structure's second side leg. A plastic bumper panel is mounted on each of the first and second side wall metal frames for minimizing damage caused by impact with a moving object. Upwardly projecting frames are located at the front of the station, coplanar with each bumper. The upwardly projecting frames bear signs at the top, and are joined by an overhead front cross bar.

Abstract: A corner guard for protecting floor fixtures from the impact of collisions with shopping carts, floor scrubbers, and the like provides for a hollow molded polyethylene body having a single lightweight construction that is anchored to the floor by a leg assembly that is attached to the molded body.
Abstract: Disclosed are improved components for a base rail system for the protection of fixtures such as display shelves, booths, and grocery store refrigeration cabinets. A protruding rotatable corner member rotatably engages objects that collide with the corner, reducing abrasion of the corner and of the object. In addition, the rotatable corner member redirects objects so as to reduce collision forces on the fixture protection system. Socket adapters closely receive a segmented, spheroidal rotatable member and rotatably couple the member to base rail protection members. A base rail protection member includes a single piece arcuate resilient sheath disposed over an arcuate channel member so as to form a cushioning gap therebetween for absorbing and dispersing collision forces. The arcuate sheath includes retaining grooves disposed along the length thereof for engaging tabs disposed along the arcuate channel member.

Abstract: A shopping cart station has flee-standing first and second hollow wall members filled with a ballast material. A connecting element couples the first and second hollow wall members together. The cart station can be easily moved and secured by emptying the hollow wall elements of the ballast material, repositioning the cart station, and refilling the wall members with ballast.
Abstract: Disclosed is a protective strip assembly for use in protecting walls, cabinets, display stands, and the like from impact by shopping carts and the like in retail outlets. The assembly comprises an elongate base member and an overfitting protective trim member held together by opposed interlocking ridges and notches. The overfitting protective trim member absorbs shock as opposed leg members resiliently spread transversely to the axis of the strip assembly at interfitting sliding surfaces. The base member includes downwardly extending side walls. The base member further includes support members which occupy a space formed between the mounting surface and trim connector portion.

The overfitting protective trim member absorbs shock as opposed leg members resiliently spread transversely to the axis of the strip assembly at interfitting sliding surfaces. Optional inwardly deformable latching elements may be included in the base member to permit the trim member to be fitted during installation directly adjacent an abutting wall or other obstruction.
