  • Patent number: 11191216
Abstract: A conveying device for conveying crop material from a pick-up mechanism to a baler comprises a conveying channel having a base comprising an upstream base part and a downstream base part. The downstream end of the upstream base part is supported on a pair of first resilient mounting members and the upstream end of the downstream base part is supported on a pair of second resilient support members. The first and second resilient support members, in response to the force with which crop material is being urged by the feed rotor against the upstream and downstream base parts exceeding respective first and second predefined values, yield. This results in downward displacement of the upstream base part and the downstream base part to permit crop material to pass through the conveying channel.

  • Publication number: 20210251146
Abstract: A continuous round baler forms a cylindrically-shaped bale by spiral, coiled layers created by a conical portion of a bale-forming chamber and protruded upwardly from a cylindrical portion of the bale-forming chamber. The bale is circumferentially supported by netting applied to the bale in the cylindrical portion. A rotary feed table receives crop from the field and feeds the crop into the conical portion. The bale forming process can be interrupted if an insufficient volume of crop is collected on the rotary feed table. The netting material is provided on short rolls to facilitate loading onto the machine. A cutoff mechanism is coupled to the growth of the bale from the cylindrical portion to sever the bale at a predetermined length with end surfaces that are perpendicular to the axis of the bale. A bale density mechanism supports the distal end of the bale as the bale protrudes upwardly.

  • Patent number: 10681853
Abstract: Coupling apparatus for coupling a mower to a front three-point linkage of a tractor includes a mounting element for coupling to the three-point linkage and a carrier element to which the mower is coupled. A linkage mechanism including upper link members and a lower link member couples the carrier element to the mounting element. The lower link member is pivotally coupled to the mounting element about a first lower pivot axis. A pair of take-up springs act between the lower link member and the mounting element to take up a portion of the weight of the mower. The take-up springs are coupled between corresponding anchor elements and corresponding anchor brackets on the lower link member. The anchor elements are carried on respective compensating arms, which in turn are pivotal on pivot shafts carried on the mounting element.

  • Publication number: 20200008360
Abstract: A conveying device (1) for picking up a sward of crop material from the ground and feeding the crop material to, for example, a baler (4), comprises a conveying channel (28) through which the crop material is conveyed from a pick-up mechanism (18) to the baler (4) by a feed rotor 34. The conveying channel (28) comprises a base (30) comprising an upstream base part (43) and a downstream base part (44). The upstream base part (43) is pivotal adjacent its upstream end (45) about a transversely extending first pivot axis (57). The downstream base part (44) is pivotal about a second transversely extending second pivot axis (76) towards the downstream end (51) thereof. The downstream end (46) of the upstream base part (43) is supported on a pair of first resilient mounting members (59) and the upstream end (50) of the downstream base part (44) is supported on a pair of second resilient support members (85) through a pair of carrier arms (78) which are pivotal about a transversely extending carrier pivot axis (74).
