  • Publication number: 20090200759
Abstract: A keyless arbor device for securing a tool, such as a drill bit, to a driver, such as a magnetic base drill. The device generally comprises at least one drive key pivotally combined with the arbor. The drive key has a first position wherein the drive key is retracted and a second position wherein the drive key is extended. The device also comprises a threaded member and an outer sleeve combined with the arbor. Rotation of the outer sleeve in a first direction causes the threaded member to move in a first direction and rotation of the outer sleeve in a second direction causes the threaded member to move in a second direction. The drive key is positioned so that as the threaded member is moved in its second direction, the threaded member makes contact with the drive key which forces the drive key to pivot from its first position to its second position thereby engaging the shank of the tool to secure the tool with the arbor.

  • Patent number: 7162905
Abstract: A pressure die having a base portion with an entrance block and an exit block attached thereto. The entrance block and exit block each have a groove adapted to receive the pipe. The curvilinear geometry of the groove of the exit block is constant so that the exit block is symmetrical and can be attached to the base portion in either a first position or a second position in which the exit block is rotated 180 degrees. The exit block is mounted onto the base portion at an angle so that the entrance portion of the exit block is lower in elevation than the exit portion of the exit block. The angle allows for a smooth transition from clearance to compression between the pipe and surface of the groove.

  • Patent number: 7100414
Abstract: A cam assembly for mounting a pressure die to the arm of a standard pipe bending machine. The assembly comprises a base with a pivot post extending upwardly therefrom. A cam shaft has an off-center opening adapted to receive the pivot post. A pivot assembly is combined with the pressure die and has an opening adapted to receive the cam shaft so that movement of the cam shaft around the pivot post changes the position of the pressure die relative to the bending machine's arm. Movement of the pivot assembly around the cam shaft swings the pressure die out of the way to load and unload the pipe being bent.
