    Abstract: A monitoring apparatus for the identification of anomalies and degradation paths in a machine tool is disclosed. The monitoring apparatus includes a control system interfaceable with a machine tool and configured for making the machine tool execute a predetermined cycle of operations; a recording system interfaceable with a plurality of sensors in the machine tool, wherein the recording system is configured for collecting operation data of machine tool during the predetermined cycle of operations; and an analysis system configured for receiving the operation data and for executing a statistical and data mining analysis on the operation data, comparing a pattern of the operation data with a predetermined pattern, for identifying any anomalies and degradation paths.

If the user pushes the inner to the inside of the filter head by mistake when the filter body is separated from the filter head, the inner is pushed out to be the original position, so that the filter body can be rapidly combined to the filter head including the inner.

    Abstract: A pedicle screw assembly having an axial load element engaging the structure joining the screw and the rod retainer. The axial load element generally holds the rod retainer in place with respect to the screw, while allowing manual movement when desired. In one embodiment, the pedicle screw assembly includes a ball-and-socket joint joining the screw head to the rod retainer. The assembly may include a saddle configured to secure a ball at the head of the screw within a socket in the rod retainer. The saddle may provide resilient compression in the axial direction. For example, the saddle may include a pair of axially-offset slots that extend partially across the saddle from opposite sides to define a bridge section. The resiliency of the saddle may be controlled by varying the characteristics of the slots and consequently the bridge section.

A controller is connected between the eSATA device and the computing device. On startup, the controller presents a first partition of eSata device as a Read Only Memory, e.g., CD-ROM, but at the same time it restricts access of the computing device to a second partition of the eSata device until receiving a valid identity authentication. The second partition is preferably encrypted with a key stored on a first partition. Decryption is performed in the controller as part of presenting the eSata device. The authentication process is preferably stored in the first partition and downloaded to the computing device on startup.

    Abstract: A modular vertical pump assembly has a motor, a coupling, a pump, a frame, and a base. The frame installs on the base around the pump, and supports of the frame hold a mount for the motor. The shaft from the motor extends through the mount, and the coupling installs between the motor shaft and a pump shaft. Preferably, the coupling uses an adapter and a stuffing box. Three supports fixedly attach to the mount and base, while one support is removable. To remove the pump for repair or replacement, the removable support detaches from the frame, and the pump detaches from the base and lifts from the frame's free side. Like the pump, the motor can be removed independently from the mount. In both cases, the coupling allows the pump's shaft to freely separate from the motor's shaft.
