Abstract: A snap-together, two piece, injection molded hairbrush includes a brush body and a bristle insert. The brush body includes a head and a handle. The head has a first and second end and a first and second side. The first and second ends and first and second sides form an open frame and a plurality of ribs extend between the first and second ends to define a first set of air slots. The handle has first and second ends and the first end of the handle is attached to the second end of the head. The bristle insert includes an open frame, a plurality of convex webs, a plurality of spaced bristles, and a connector. The open frame has first and second sides and first and second ends. The plurality of convex webs extend between the first and second sides of the open frame and are spaced from one another to define a second set of air slots. The plurality of spaced bristles are carried on each of the webs and extend outward from the webs.

Abstract: A process for permanently attaching smooth finished globules of coating material to the ends of the teeth of molded plastic combs, picks, lifts and the like, including roughening or oxidizing the teeth ends to remove the gloss finish and form a more adherent surface; dipping the roughened teeth ends into a bath of liquid coating material to attach a globule of coating material to each tooth end and cover the sharp mold-parting line located thereat; and drying the globules attached to the teeth ends.

Abstract: An improved tease comb or hair pick (10) includes a handle (12) and a row of teeth (14, 16 and 18) thereon. A medium length tooth (16) is provided between each pair of long teeth (14) and a short tooth (18) is provided between each medium tooth and the adjacent long tooth, in order quickly to provide more volume with less tangling and knotting.
