Patent number: 9508502Abstract: The present invention relates to a push button switch 5 comprising a curved deformable contact element 4. The push button switch 5 comprises at least one first terminal point 1, at least one second terminal point 2, and at least one third terminal point 3. The deformable contact element 4 is switched between a first and a second state. In the first state the deformable contact element 4 connects the at least one first terminal point 1 with the at least one second terminal point 2 whereas there is neither contact between the at least one third terminal point 3 and the at least one first terminal point 1 nor between the at least one third terminal point 3 and the at least one second terminal point 2.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2013Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Assignee: MEC A/SInventors: Flemming Dromph, Dan Larsen

Patent number: 7745748Abstract: A diode unit (9) including at least one diode (13) and a pair of terminals (15) is mounted on a switch body (2) having an actuate-able key (6) and at least two terminal points (4). The diode unit (9) is positioned on the exposed end of the key (6) such that surface parts of the diode unit (9) is brought into engagement with corresponding surface parts of the switch body (2) so as to prevent the diode unit (9) from movement in relation to the switch body (2) in a predefined plane. The diode unit terminals (15) extend in a direction transverse to said plane, and the diode unit terminals (15) are connected to the terminal points (4) of the switch body (2) so as to prevent movement of the diode unit (9) in relation to the switch body (2) transversely to said predefined plane.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2006Date of Patent: June 29, 2010Assignee: MEC A/SInventors: Jens Ejner Ingerslev Nielsen, Claus Enoch

Publication number: 20060189149Abstract: A method of smoothening a dielectric layer. First, a substrate is provided. Next, a dielectric layer is formed on the semiconductor substrate. Finally, the dielectric layer is smoothened by a plasma treatment employing a silane based gas and a nitrogen based gas.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 23, 2005Publication date: August 24, 2006Applicant: Mec A/SInventors: Wen-Long Lee, Jun Wu, Shih-Chi Lin, Chyi-Tsong Ni

Patent number: 6205650Abstract: A method of producing an electrical switch wherein material is cut out of a sheet or web (1) of electrically conductive material such that a plurality of sets of terminals (5, 6, 7) are formed integral with the sheet (1). A housing (not shown) is moulded onto each set of terminals such that the inner terminals (7) are within the housing. Operative elements are mounted in the housing. The moulding of the housings and the mounting of the elements are performed on a plurality of sets of terminals simultaneously. The individual switches are separated from the sheet (1) either by severing the terminals 5 at 15 and 25 and the terminals 6 at 16, thereby forming a switch with a short distance (fx 4 mm) between the terminal ends of terminals (16), or by severing the terminals 6 at 16 and 26 and the terminals 5 at 15, thereby forming a switch with a longer distance (fx 6 mm) between the terminal ends of terminal (15).Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1998Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: MEC A/SInventors: Claus Enoch, Flemming Jacobsen

Patent number: 5199557Abstract: In a process of producing an electric or electronic component, particularly a key, a continuous track of a metal foil is machined into two metallic terminal components constituting links between two carrier strips. A base housing component is cast from a high temperature resistant material around the terminals and is connected to the carrier strips through two tags protruding outwards from opposite, outer side surfaces of the base housing component. In an inner recess of the base housing component a domed metal disc having an acoustically damping coating on the convex side surface thereof, an elastically compressible rubber component and a push button are arranged. On top of the base housing component, a top housing component preferably made from the same high temperature resistant plastics material is arranged. Within the recess of the base housing component, the terminals define electric contacts with which the domed metal disc cooperates.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1990Date of Patent: April 6, 1993Assignee: MEC A/SInventors: Gert Brandt, Soren R.
