  • Patent number: 4594869
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a coil spring wherein, an amount of sway of a connecting body connected to a swaying body to be swayed by a cam or a crank driven by a driving shaft rotating at a constant speed in order to drive at least one or more means among those for changing a pitch of active coils, forming the end portion, changing the shape of cross-section of the active coils and cutting wire material is converted into a pulse signal and is then measured on the occasion of manufacturing a coil spring and a DC servo motor which drives and rotates a core bar or pressurized co-roller for supplying a wire material to the coil forming portion is driven by such pulse signal in order to form a total coils of a coil spring.

  • Patent number: 4587812
Abstract: To transfer electric control signals between a stationary portion and rotary portion of a machine, in particular a circular knitting machine, a device is disclosed which comprises two optical fiber cables respectively attached, the one to the stationary portion and the other to the rotary portion, and arranged to axially face each other on the rotation axis of the machine rotary portion such that the light flux can be transferred from one fiber to the other. An electro-optical element converts the electric signals, which may be of the digital type, into optical signals, which are applied to one of the optical fiber cables and then received on the other cable through a coupling for free relative coaxial rotation. The signals are again converted into electric signals through an opto-electric element, and then processed to control machine actuators. The transfer arrangement is free of any sliding electric contacts and unaffected by noise and interference.

  • Patent number: 4542635
Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing solid tension coil springs providing loops at both ends with excellent productivity under the condition that shape of loop, facing angle of loops at both ends and number of turns between the loops are respectively set accurately to the desired values characterized in that on the occasion of forming a solid tension coil portion by sending the wire material and abutting it in contact with the bending dies, when the end portion of the solid tension coil formed abuts in contact with the contact type sensor for control, sending of wire material is stopped and thereby a solid tension coil spring in the desired number of turns can be manufactured, then the coil spring is cut on the side of bending dies in the condition that said coil spring is held, thereafter said coil spring is sent to the next stage while it is held, and while the next coil spring is being manufactured, both loops are formed by raising simultaneously both ends of the solid coil spring being held.

  • Patent number: 4238653
Abstract: In an electrical switch including a housing and a button, which button, by means of a manual depression thereof in a single direction, is movable relative to the housing between two positions defined by a setting mechanism, and which mechanism comprises a setting rod one extreme end of which is guided by a slot or groove having two fixing points, the setting rod is embodied like an unequal-armed lever. The longest arm of the lever is allocated said two fixing points whereas the shortest arm is teetably supported in a through-hole of the button. The direction of the hole in the button is substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the button, and the rocking point of the lever or rod is situated in a housing wall. In comparison with prior art switches, the switch of the invention exhibits extremely reduced travel or stroke of the button.

  • Patent number: 4234769
Abstract: In an electrical switch including a housing and a button in which the button, by means of a manual depression thereof in a single direction is movable relative to the housing between two positions and during this movement causes a snap spring inserted in the button to slip from a first extreme position to a second one, the snap spring is set up or interlocked between two bearings or seats provided in opposite walls of the housing. The central part of the snap spring is arranged in a bridge member which carries resilient contact fingers. The bridge member is further arranged with a two-sided clearance in a recess provided in the button. The switch overcomes the problems of microphonic noise generated by any movement between the button and the housing and reduces considerably the contact resistances at the contact points due to a scrabing movement between the metal parts establishing the electrical connections.
