Patent number: 11901050Abstract: Methods and systems for determining whether a software application that is executable by an electronic device is compliant under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) are provided. A software application is accessed over a network. A programmed computer processor is used to determine whether said software application, upon execution, is at or above an (i) access control threshold, (ii) audit control threshold, (iii) data integrity threshold, (iv) authentication threshold, and (v) transmission security threshold, which thresholds are minimum thresholds for HIPAA compliance. Additionally, a determination that said software application is HIPAA compliant is made if said software application, upon execution, is at or above (i) said access control threshold, (ii) audit control threshold, (iii) data integrity threshold, (iv) authentication threshold, and (v) transmission security threshold. Further, a determination as to whether said software application is HIPAA compliant is output.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2022Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Medable Inc.Inventors: Michelle Rae Longmire, Timothy Robert Smith, James Marcel Sas

Patent number: 11670421Abstract: The instant system and method will be a scalable and flexible software platform to agnostically capture wearable, implantable, or external device data and create a digital biomarker for various disease conditions, care and analysis. The system and method also provides an informatics tool for automated data aggregation, integration, and machine learning algorithms to uniformly compare/contrast/couple data streams as a function of patient and context over time. The focus is on user engagement and usability, accessibility and reporting to the clinical care team, and usability by researchers interested in analyzing data and outcomes.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2021Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: Medable Inc.Inventors: Michelle Longmire, Ingrid Oakley-Girvan, Nick Moss, Reem Yunis, Anushka Manoj Gupta

Patent number: 11631041Abstract: Systems and methods as disclosed herein are provided for generating a research study application. A request to generate a research study is received from a user. A plurality of task generation options are presented on a graphical user interface of an electronic device. The plurality of task generation options are selected from the group consisting of a consent survey, an eligibility survey, a medical history survey, and a medical tracking survey. Input regarding the plurality of task generation options is received from the user. Additionally, a research study application is generated based on information received from the user.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2017Date of Patent: April 18, 2023Assignee: Medable Inc.Inventors: Michelle Rae Longmire, Ingrid Oakley-Girvan, Timothy Robert Smith, James Marcel Sas, Niraj Patel, Guillermo Biset, Fernando Waigandt, Matthew Lean, Analia Gigena

Patent number: 11587682Abstract: A method and system for connecting, capturing, managing and predicting outcomes for an improved care for home based patients by collecting data from caregivers and home-based patients. The method and system implemented as a mobile technology is more efficient and effective method for delivering healthcare that will ease the caregiving burden. Providing resources and information to communicate, capture and deliver by the caregivers (formal and informal), patients and healthcare providers communicate helps integrate essential data and care. Through the use of this mobile technology and associated devices vital information from informal caregivers, which is currently not regularly used in remotely located patients, can be captured and implemented in the decisions and adjustments to patients' care plans. In addition, the technology helps with adherence of patient specific treatment guidelines for home-based patients.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2021Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: Medable Inc.Inventors: Michelle Longmire, Ingrid Oakley-Girvan, Nick Moss
