  • Patent number: 12011531
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motor-driven suction pump and a method for connecting such a pump. The suction pump has a pump unit for generating a negative pressure which is accommodated in a housing. Further, a terminal box is provided which can be connected to a power source via a connecting cable and has contact elements for supplying the pump unit with a power current. The contact elements are electrically conductively connected to the contact counter elements provided on the housing side and leading to the pump unit when the terminal box is coupled to the housing. In order to increase electrical safety, a sensor, an evaluation unit, and a switch are provided. The sensor is configured to check the coupling of the terminal box. The switch switches a power supply to at least one of the contact elements.

  • Patent number: 11957818
Abstract: A breast shield unit of a breast pump for expressing human breastmilk includes a breast shield (1) to be placed onto a mother's breast, a breastmilk collection container (5) for receiving expressed breastmilk, an adapter (2) for connecting the breast shield (1) to the breastmilk collection container (5) and a valve head (4). A breastmilk channel extends from the breast shield (1) into the breastmilk collection container (5) through the adapter (2) and the valve head (4). The valve head (4) includes a valve (40) which closes and opens the breastmilk channel during the pumping action, wherein a fill level sensor (6) for measuring a fill level of the breastmilk collection container (5) is arranged in the valve head (4). The breast shield unit according to the invention facilitates a fill level measurement without a structural change of the breast shield and breastmilk collection container. • Patent number: 11642443
Abstract: A breast shield for a breast pump for expressing human breast milk comprises a rigid base part (1) with a tubular connection piece (10) and with a funnel (11), which is integrally moulded in one piece thereon and widens away from the connection piece (10), for receiving a breast. The breast shield additionally comprises a flexible collar (2) which is arranged on the funnel (11) at an end of the funnel (11) remote from the connection piece (10) and which is realized to be placed onto the mother's breast. The named end of the funnel (11) forms a first contact surface (12) and an end of the collar (2) which faces the funnel (11) forms a second contact surface (22) and they both adjoin one another in an obtuse manner in a circumferential connecting joint (4), wherein the connecting joint is a butt joint.

  • Patent number: 11642441
Abstract: A barrier of a vacuum pump prevents contamination from entering a vacuum pump air line. The barrier separates parts of the pump and is moveable between an initial state and a distended state. The barrier is assembled within the pump with a pre-load. When the vacuum source is applied to the barrier, the barrier achieves a distended state and when the vacuum source is released, the barrier incrementally self returns to an initial state. The geometry and material construction of the barrier, along with the pre-load, assists in returning the barrier on its own to the initial state from the distended state.
