Patent number: 11633685Abstract: Provided is a centrifuge media separator for separating blast particulate from fine particulate carried by air flowing from a blast cabinet and through the media separator. The centrifuge media separator comprises an upper panel, a lower panel, and an outer wall. The upper panel has a central opening formed therein. The outer wall is configured in a truncated logarithmic shape and which extends between the upper and lower panels. The outer wall has at least one particulate escape aperture formed therein. The upper panel, lower panel and outer wall collectively define a curvilinear air passageway having an inlet and an outlet. An air foil extends from the outer wall in to the air passageway. The distance than the air foil extends in to the air passageway is adjustable. The inlet is configured to allow a flow of air to enter the air passageway and circulate therethrough toward the outlet. The escape aperture is configured to exhaust the blast particulate out of the passageway.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2021Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: Media Blast & Abrasive, Inc.Inventors: Ronald D. Storer, Robert A. Robinson

Patent number: 10221567Abstract: Provided is an automatic film washout device includes a housing defining a rinsing chamber and a drain in fluid communication with the rinsing chamber. A drum is rotatably coupled to the housing and is configured to be engageable with the photosensitive material for washout thereof. A booster pump is operatively coupled to the housing and includes a pump inlet and a pump outlet, the pump inlet being fluidly connectable to the pressurized fluid source to receive fluid therefrom at an inlet pressure, the pump being configured to elevate the pressure of the fluid exiting the pump via the pump outlet. A plurality of nozzles are coupled to the housing and in fluid communication with the pump to receive fluid therefrom. The plurality of nozzles are configured to direct fluid into the rinsing chamber for washout of the photosensitive material.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2017Date of Patent: March 5, 2019Assignee: Media Blast & Abrasive, Inc.Inventors: Ron Storer, Robert A. Robinson

Patent number: 9623539Abstract: A carving cabinet configured to enable carving of the work-piece outside the main machine cabinet, without requiring the work-piece to be completely wrapped in a protective covering. The carving cabinet includes a housing defining an enclosure for operating the carving tool when carving the work-piece. A barrier member is coupled to the housing and is configured to substantially separate the work-piece from the enclosure when carving the work-piece. The barrier member includes a first surface facing toward the enclosure and an opposing second surface facing away from the enclosure. A carving port extends between the first surface and the second surface. The barrier member is configured to allow the work-piece to be disposable adjacent the second surface to enable carving of the work-piece through the carving port.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2014Date of Patent: April 18, 2017Assignee: Media Blast & Abrasive, Inc.Inventor: Robert A.
