  • Patent number: 6047509
Abstract: A panel used for display purposes comprises a frame having corner members that are molded in identical halves and snapped together. The corner members are provided with T-slots along the outer edges that will receive slidable members. A detent extends into the T-slot to engage the slidable members slid into the T-slot to hold them in position. The corner members include tangs for receiving extrusions for forming edge frames for the panel, with the corner members holding the frame in an assembly. The corner members have receptacles for receiving pins or shanks that can be latched in place with a latch member sliding in the T-slot on at least one of the legs of the respective corner member.

  • Patent number: 5967060
Abstract: A folding top used on various pedestals is made in two sections that abut along a parting line and are urged toward the parting line by an elastic cord that provides a resilient force at two spaced locations along the parting line. The cord is a peripheral type cord that fits into a receptacle encircling the countertop on an underside thereof and within the periphery. The countertop has a flange that fits over the top of the pedestal for mounting in place and using it as a countertop. The countertop is foldable when the two sections are separated along a parting line for storage and transportation, and the pedestal is for storage cases used for storing and transporting display panels and display panel frames.

  • Patent number: 5431210
Abstract: A panel retainer for retaining panels in end to end position, with edge post members aligned, comprising end portions of the edge post members having bores for receiving a retainer pin and having bosses to engage a properly sized pin inserted into the end portion. A retainer pin has a larger diameter portion which is frictionally engaged by bosses in one edge post member stopped in a location with a smaller diameter portion extending out of the edge post member. The second edge post member slideably receives the smaller diameter portion for making an assembly. The smaller diameter section clearing the bosses and the stop in the second edge post member so the edge post member abut with the pin aligning and retaining the first and second posts from transverse movement.

  • Patent number: 5242241
Abstract: A display accessory for rigid connection to a display panel of the type having an elongated longitudinal undercut retaining channel along one edge and having a narrow slot entrance to the retainer channel. The accessory includes a longitudinal tubular member of circular or polygonal cross-section and at least one pair of aligned longitudinally spaced apart connectors on the tubular member. Each of the connectors comprises a lock pin extending through the wall of the tubular member and having a large retaining head within the tubular member. The opposite end of the lock pin has a locking member having opposed flat faces. The shape of the locking member corresponds to the cross-section of the retainer channel of the panel to which the accessory is to be connected and the thickness of the locking member is such that it fits within the channel slot of the display panel.

  • Patent number: 4979554
Abstract: A flat flexible display panel capable of being formed into an arcuate surface display member for use as part of an exhibit booth and similar structures is disclosed. The panel is flat for convenience in carrying and storage but is capable of being formed quickly and easily into a curved display member for use in conjunction with other flat and curved surface display members. Hinged latching elements are disclosed which lie flat for shipment and storage but swing outwardly to connect together and form a flat panel into a curved surface.

  • Patent number: 4934522
Abstract: A convertible display shelf for use in conjunction with temporary vertical display panels such as are in widespread use at conventions, trade shows, and similar exhibitions. It is convertible in the sense that it may be arrayed in a downwardly extending angular position for display of sales literature and the like, or, alternatively, in a horizontal flat position for display of products or other three-dimensional goods. The same shelf, without alteration, is capable of use in either of the two alternative function positions. It is characterized by the capability to be knocked down to its generally flat components for compact easy carrying and storage. The shelf is readily assembled and disassembled, and attached to and detached from a display panel without the need of tools. The shelf is self-adhering to cloth covered display panels by means of interlocking filamenary fastening material.

  • Patent number: 4821788
Abstract: A locking system is disclosed for rigidly joining together in various configurations display panels having at least one straight edge having an elongated longitudinal undercut retainer channel along that edge. The system comprises a pair of telescoped inner and outer tubular members carrying a plurality of longitudinally spaced and aligned locking members adapted to engage the retainer channels of the panels to be joined. The locking members are retracted for assembly of adjacent display panels, or extended for disassembly, upon relative reciprocal movement of the tubular members. The mechanism for accomplishing reciprocation is described. Locking systems for assembly of display units of various configurations are described.
