Abstract: According to an embodiment of the disclosure, a wrist coach system (220) comprises a layout module and an output module. The layout module provides a user (210) with menu features (232) and navigational features (236). The menu features and the navigational features are configured to allow the user to create a play. The output module provides wrist coach instructions for the created plays. The wrist coach instructions are configured to be viewed from a wrist coach (310, 320) on a wrist of a player. In particular configurations, the wrist coach is an electronic wrist coach (320) that receives wireless instructions.
