Abstract: A cigar cutter has a housing into which a moveable actuator assembly extends. A rotatable cutter blade is located in a hollow space of the housing, the cutter blade rotating in the hollow space under the control of the moveable actuator assembly. A receptacle adjacent the rotatable cutter blade receives the tip of a cigar, and rotation of the cutter blade in the hollow space severs the cigar tip from the remainder of the cigar. The residue formed by the severed tip is then discarded. A hemispherical-shaped cut is created at the tip of the cigar.

Abstract: A flow controllable type suction and irrigation device includes: a handle having an installation space therein; a cannula provided with a conductive tube and an insulating protective tube, the conductive tube extending in a forward direction of the handle to be inserted into the abdominal cavity of a patient and being coupled to an electrode for surgery, the insulating protective tube being disposed to surround the conductive tube; and a suction supply unit provided to the handle and supplying an irrigation fluid to the cannula or suctioning blood or contaminants from the abdominal cavity of the patient through the cannula.

Abstract: We disclose an in-toilet urinalysis system which includes a system for collection urine and for analysis of urine components using aptamer technology. Urine collection system may dispense urine into cuvettes, channels, or other containers that include aptamers. The aptamers may detect target molecules in urine. The aptamers may measure urine analytes, detect excreted drugs or drug metabolites, or disease markers. Upon binding to the target molecule, the aptamers may produce a signal which a sensor in the toilet may detect. In some embodiments, the signal may be electrochemical, fluorescent, or colorimetric. The measurements obtained from analysis of the urine may be used to assess a user's health or diagnose disease. In some embodiments, the measurements are stored in a controller which may transmit the measurements to a healthcare provider for assessment.

The toilet includes a bowl, a mechanism for administering the product to the user, a storage structure for storing the product, a sensor that detects a property of the product, and a processor. The bowl is adapted to receiving excreta from the user. The processor compares the detected property with a range of values indicating the suitability of the product for being applied to a user. The processor generates an alert when the detected property falls outside the range of values.

The vertical-flat-arrangement-type suction and irrigation device includes a housing, a probe, and a suction and supply unit. The housing include a front chamber and a rear chamber spaced apart from each other and connected via a connection duct, a first duct connected to a front of the front chamber and extending forwards, a second duct connected to a rear of the front chamber and extending rearwards, and a third duct connected to a rear of the rear chamber and extending rearwards. The suction and supply unit includes a supply valve reciprocally moved inside the front chamber in an axial direction of the front chamber and a suction valve reciprocally moved inside the rear chamber in an axial direction of the rear chamber.

Abstract: An analytical toilet is disclosed with a bowl adapted to receive excreta, a conduit for transporting a liquid excreta sample from the bowl, and a liquid reagent source. The analytical toilet also includes a microfluidic chip that has a sensor configured to detect at least one property of the excreta sample. The microfluidic chip also has an excreta sample path in fluid communication with the conduit and the sensor and a reagent path in fluid communication with the liquid reagent source and the sensor. The length of and number of channels in the sample path and the reagent path are selected so as to control the respective fluid resistance of the excreta sample and the reagent to thereby optimize the mixing and flow rates of the excreta sample and reagent into the sensor. There is also disclosed analytical toilet with a microfluidic chip having reagent path that includes a first and a second channel. The second channel is longer than the first channel.

The chamber is in fluid communication with the contents of the bowl through the outlet. The pressure sensor mounting fixture also has a pressure sensor cavity above the chamber having an inlet in fluid communication with the chamber such that an air bubble is maintained in the pressure sensor cavity. A token value is determined based on the determined token state. First and second portions of the token value are identified. The first message is encrypted using the second portion of the first token value. A first packet is generated that includes the first portion as a token and includes the encrypted first message. The first packet is sent to the second node based on the second outbound routing entry in the outbound routing table.
