Abstract: A method and a system for provides bed availability information via a computer network. A healthcare facility may provide bed availability and/or service information to a database on a computer network. Users of the computer network may access the information within the database. The healthcare facility may create a transfer request form for discharge of a patient to an extended care facility. The transfer request form containing patient medical information and/or patient treatment information is reviewed by an agent. The agent decides whether to approve the transfer request. Notifications are sent to the parties involved with the discharge of the patient to the healthcare facility notifying the parties of the decision of the agent.

Abstract: A method and a system for providing bed availability information via a computer network are provided. Specifically, a healthcare facility such as a nursing home, a retirement home or any other type of healthcare or extended care facility may provide bed availability information and other types of information to a database on a computer network whereby users of the computer network may access the information within the database. The user may use a search mechanism to find a particular facility best suited for the user or another individual. Further, if the user does not know what type of facility he or she requires or does not know how to identify appropriate facilities, questions may be presented, and an analysis may be carried out to assist in determining the type of facility desired. Further, the user may then contact the facility to reserve beds or make appointments.

Abstract: A method and a system for matching medical condition information with medical resources are provided. Specifically, a plurality of medical resources such as, for example, practitioners, specialists, specialty hospitals, or any other medical or extended care providers may have information related thereto stored within a database on a computer network. The information may include information on specific medical conditions, such as, for example, diseases, disorders, or any other medical condition. Alternatively, the medical resource may include information on specific medical procedures in which the medical resource may have a specialty or may otherwise perform. An individual may access a website connected with the database and may enter information on medical conditions and/or medical procedures. A search of the database may then reveal specific medical resource categories and, thence, medical resources that may treat the medical condition or may perform the medical procedures chosen by the individual.

Abstract: A method and a system for creating websites for healthcare providers contained on a network are provided. Specifically, a healthcare provider such as, for example, a hospital, a nursing home, a practitioner and/or any other healthcare provider, may access a remote server and may create a website based on pre-defined information contained on the database. The website may then be stored on the remote server and may be searchable via a search engine on the remote server. In addition, the healthcare provider may associate a plurality of attributes to the website created so that a search engine may easily search for the healthcare provider based on the attributes associated therewith.
