  • Patent number: 11896298
Abstract: An ablation device and method for pulsed field ablation, the device comprising a catheter including an expandable basket, a set of electrodes formed on the expandable basket, and a pulse generator suitable for generating electric pulses wherein the pulse generator being in electrical connection with the set of electrodes. The expandable basket is formed of a braided mesh of filaments, wherein the filaments are made of nonconductive material, wherein at least portion of the filaments comprises a lumen, or is made by molding, wherein the filaments further include electrodes and conductive wires. The conductive wires at least partially lead inside of the lumen of the filaments, or are overmolded and are electrically connected to the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7566337
Abstract: A method for prevention of a parastomal hernia in a patient. First and second incisions are made in the skin, with the second incision made in the external rectus fascia above the first incision. An implant of a substantially flat ring having a central opening and provided with a number of anchoring elements radiating from an outer circumference of the ring is introduced through the first incision. The central opening of the implant is arranged above the second incision, and the anchoring elements are directed to securing positions on top the fascia. Next an end of an intestine is pulled through the second incision, the central opening of the implant, and the first incision, to create the stoma. The anchoring elements serve to keep the implant fixated and secured to the fascia while exerting pressure on the muscles to thereby reinforce the muscle structure and prevent hernia formation.

  • Patent number: 7413569
Abstract: An implant serving for surrounding e.g. an intestine on hypodermal implantation in an animal or a human body. The implant includes an outer ring, an inner ring arranged in the outer ring about a joint axis, and a number of anchoring links extending between the outer ring and the inner ring. The inner ring, outer ring and two successive connecting links define an opening in which an anchoring means is secured. The free end of the anchoring means is anchored in fascia. The preferred application for the implant is prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of a hernia, especially a hernia originating from an enterostomy.

  • Patent number: 4278542
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a multi-layered hemodialyzer comprises the step of forming a pack of flattened tubular membranes and supporting members therefor, inserting the pack into a box like open-side enclosure to form a dialyzer assembly while positioning inserts in the open side of the enclosure, sealing the open ends of the membranes and the end spaces between the membranes and the supporting members, removing the inserts from the enclosure to leave communication orifices between the inside of the membranes and the outside of the dialyzer assembly, and securing, to the open sides of the enclosure, closing members defining manifold spaces communicating, through the orifices, with the inside of the membranes. In the formed multi-layered hemodialyzer the manifold spaces have a communication port for communicating with the space defined within the membranes the space of which is substantially equal to the surface area of sealing means being occupied by the communication apertures.
