    Abstract: Described herein is a method for detecting a wound infection comprising the steps of: contacting a sample obtained from a wound with at least two substrates for at least two enzymes selected from the group consisting of lysozyme, elastase, cathepsin G and myeloperoxidase, and detecting a wound infection when a conversion of the at least two substrates with said at least two enzymes are determined.
