Abstract: The embarrassment of passing gas in public is ubiquitous. Accordingly, certain aspects of the present invention are directed to providing filter underwear (also known as underpants) that is generally constructed with a single ply of underwear side panels that are separated by an activated carbon center panel that is removable from the underwear. Certain embodiments contemplate an odor control underwear being an underwear system that generally includes an underwear comprising a pocket that is fit to accommodate a removable activated carbon adsorbent sleeve. Accordingly, after at least one use (i.e., a time of wearing the underwear system), the adsorbent sleeve can be removed from the accommodating pocket, and therefore the underwear, whereby the adsorbent sleeve can be washed, dried, and reinserted in the accommodating pocket for another underwear use.

  • Patent number: 12290446
Abstract: A computer-aided method, using a pre-operative planning software tool and patient-specific images, establishes implant parameters that customize selection of a total knee replacement prosthesis. The computer system determines from coronal, axial and sagittal image slices of a knee joint a neutral boundary axis, a set of epicondylar and trochlear features that define an elliptical cam, and a medial-lateral tibial slope, then defines from overlapping condylar and trochlear circles an ellipse with eccentricity 0.25 and focal points coincident with the circles. A knee prosthesis has a femoral component as an elliptical cam with dimensions defined by the ellipse, and has tibial and patellar components interacting with the femoral component as cam followers under knee flexion. A prosthesis is selected from a set with differing coronal asymmetry angle ? to closely match the patient a as estimated from the images.

  • Patent number: 12290681
Abstract: A method of treating a patient having overactive bladder symptoms by a combination of stimulation of the patient's saphenous nerve and the patient's posterior tibial nerve. The method uses a neurostimulator having a computer processor and a signal generator which generates a first stimulation signal which is used to target the patient's saphenous nerve and a second stimulation signal which is used to target the posterior tibial nerve of the patient in accordance with a treatment protocol. The neurostimulator sends the first and second electrical stimulation signals to respective stimulators which then transmit the respective electrical stimulation signals to the patient's saphenous nerve and the patient's posterior tibial nerve in accordance with the stimulation protocol. The first and second stimulators are positioned in locations on the body of the patient to effectively modulate the patient's saphenous nerve and posterior tibial nerve respectively.

  • Publication number: 20250135239
Abstract: A method for reducing foreign body response in a subject caused by an electrode implanted in a subject's neural tissue at a target site provides positioning a device having a body, ultrasonic transducer, and acoustic coupling medium in contact with the neural tissue proximate to the target site. The method continues with activating a transducer, generating acoustic vibrations, transmitting the acoustic vibrations to the neural tissue at the target site, and applying the acoustic vibrations to the neural tissue at the target site sufficient to reduce the foreign body response in the neural tissue at the target site. The acoustic vibrations are preferably in the ultrasonic range and are pulsed for a duration of 5-200 milliseconds. A treatment protocol may consist of repeat sessions in which the transducer is activated and the acoustic vibrations are applied for 1-15 minutes, then turned off for 1-15 minutes, and repeated 2-10 times.
