Abstract: Example plasmaclave devices are shown for using a plasma to sterilize objects or equipment (e.g., medical instruments, surgical devices, food preparation utensils, etc.) placed inside the plasmaclave devices. In some embodiments, the plasmaclave device includes fixed magnets, steering coils, and a high voltage electrode for generating a plasma field and controlling where the plasma field is focused, so that the plasma field is rapidly scanned over a target surface. In some embodiments, the plasmaclave device includes a high voltage coil, a motor, and a blade electrode for generating a plasma field and spinning the blade electrode, so that the plasma field is rapidly scanned over a target surface.
Abstract: A tissue treatment device includes a circuit driver, an electrode, and a plasma arc focusing element, all disposed within a housing. The circuit driver generates a plasma arc source signal. The electrode generates a plasma stream in response to the plasma arc source signal. The plasma arc focusing element focuses the plasma stream to pass through an outlet hole of the housing and onto a target spot on a target tissue of a treatment subject for heat treatment of the target tissue. In some embodiments, the circuit driver controls a temperature increase of the target tissue by modulating a fundamental frequency, power level, pulsing frequency, and/or pulsing duty cycle of the plasma arc source signal.
Abstract: A band for information storage includes an outer mold for attaching the band to a user's wrist, an external housing within the outer mold that includes a hollow upper portion for receiving a first removable component, wherein the first removable component is engraved with information about the user and/or includes an alarm alert or emergency call button; and an internal housing rotatably attached to the external housing and fitted therein for receiving a second removable component, wherein the second removable component includes a portable memory device.
Abstract: A customizable, portable identification and memory device includes a housing having a front sleeve housing member with a sleeve that receives a slideable printable card member and an electronic memory device, such as a universal serial bus (USB) flash drive, pivoted to the housing that is rotatable between a stored position of the memory device within a recess of the housing and one or more deployed positions of the memory device, for example, at 90 degrees and 180 degrees, in which a connector portion of the memory device is exposed for connection to a port of a computing device. The slideable printable card member can be imprinted with text and/or graphics, such as personal identification information and/or insurance information for a user and/or can be imprinted with allergies, medications, and emergency contact information for the user, and the memory device can store voluminous information, such as a personal health record (PHR) for a user.
