Abstract: The device of the invention provides preselected doses of liquid medicine and has a cylinder assembly (1, 2) with a left cylinder (1), a right cylinder (2) and a double piston (4, 5) displaceably mounted in the assembly with a left piston end (4) and a right piston end (5). A coupling links the double piston in a positive and/or frictional manner with a drive unit (15). The device is controlled passively by two automatically closing intake valves (7, 8) and two discharge valves (11, 12). Thereby a continuous flow of liquid medicine 20 out of the medicine container 10 can be generated.
Abstract: The invention concerns a display for a medical injection device (1) wherein an injection dose is pre-selected by rotating an operating head (2) and then is administered by axially displacing said head. Switching devices (7, 8) are apposed to the operating head (2) to actuate switches (7, 8) of which the switch positions are transmitted to a printed circuit board (13). The printed circuit board (13) preferably contains a processor, so that values such as set injection dose, the sum of administered injection doses etc. and signals concerning operational states are shown on a display system (15).
Abstract: A feed mechanism for an injection device having an ampoule casing (13) includes an outer casing (2), an inner casing (3) protruding rearwardly from the outer casing and a toothed rack (4) longitudinally displaceable with the inner casing against the force of a spring (8). The rack has teeth (5) of which the length L corresponds to one full injection dose. The inner casing is longitudinally movable by a length L between two stops (6, 7) in the inner and outer casings. The inner casing has a latch (9, 10) which detachably locks the inner casing at its extreme forward position into an aperture (11) of the ampoule casing. A pawl prevents return movement of the rack.
Abstract: The invention concerns an injection device (1) receiving in exchangeable manner an ampoule (4) with a plunger (5) and an injection needle (6). It further comprises an actuation means (7) essentially consisting of an operating head (8), a drive element (11), a guide element (24) and an output member (9, 19) preferably in the form of a rod (9) and flange (19). The output member is non-rotatably affixed to the guide element (11) itself rigidly mounted inside the device (1) and seated by its own thread in an internal thread (27) of the drive element (11) which can be displaced axially and into rotation by the manual operating head (8). When rotating the operating head (8), the output member (9, 19) is advanced and in the process forces forward the plunger (5), the result being injection. The stationary guide element (24) of the disclosed device is located axially ahead of the axially displaceable drive element (11).
