Abstract: A system that uses light to treat concussions includes: one or more light array devices that are flexible and emit red light and infrared light; a red laser probe; an infrared laser probe; and a computing system connected to the light array devices and the laser probes. The computing system includes a processor, memory, a display device and a user input device. The memory includes multiple protocols, each protocol including multiple stages, and each stage including multiple steps for using the light array devices and the laser probes. The steps are respectively associated with predetermined settings for configuring the light array devices and the laser probes. The processor determines a given stage of a given protocol, and automatically configures settings of the light array devices and the laser probes in sequence according to the predetermined settings respectively associated with given steps within the given stage.
Abstract: A flexible light treatment head comprising one or more light source modules interconnected by a hinge apparatus along a flexing edge thereof. The light source modules have light emitting elements, such as LEDs or LASERs. The hinge apparatus comprises one or more hinges. Each hinge has a head wiring channel disposed to form a continuous wiring channel along the hinge apparatus. A head wiring channel is also provided for routing wires into the light source module.

Abstract: The present invention provides a flexible light treatment pad comprising one or more light source modules interconnected in a continuous electrical web and disposed on a flexible circuit board located on a first portion of the light treatment head. The light treatment pad further includes a control module located on a second portion of the light treatment, the second portion being physically separated and spaced apart from the first portion, the control module for providing a control signal to the one or more light source modules. Further, said light source module and said control module are encased in a flexible moulding layer for allowing flexion of the light treatment pad in numerous curvatures.
Abstract: A photon therapy unit implement has a flexible head for conforming to a body part to be treated. The head has a thermally conductive backing to remove heat form the treatment area. The operation of the head is monitored by a photon detector to provide a feedback to the diode drive circuit to maintain the output at the required level. Operation of the head is monitored by a microprocessor which performs a diagnostic function and reports on defects. The treatment protocol is generated by a main control unit that formulates a treatment waveform from a set of treatment protocols. The selection of protocols is performed through a graphical user interface (GUI) which allows selection of treatment areas and customization of treatment as well as maintaining patient history and annotations.
