Abstract: A system for determining a kinetic parameter of an object, the system includes: (a) a target, that includes a calibration facilitating pattern and which is connected to the object, so that a movement of the target correlates with a movement of the object; (b) an optical source, which is adapted to illuminate the target; (c) an optical sensor, adapted to generate detection signals in response to light received from the target; and (d) a processor, adapted to determine a calibration parameter and the kinetic parameter in response to the detection signals and to detection signals reference information.
