Abstract: Disclosed is a collapsible walker that is movable between an upright and a collapsed position. The walker includes a visible indication that the walker is in the upright position. The indicator device includes a visual indicator affixed to the collapsible walker, wherein the visual indicator includes a first section and a second section, and a window disposed on the body. The walker is configured such that when the walker is in the upright position the first section of the visual indicator is visible via the window, and when the walker is not in the upright position at least a portion of the second section of the visual indicator is visible via the window, the visibility of at least a portion of the second section signifying that the walker is not ready for use.
Abstract: A walker is provided that is movable between a compact, folded configuration and an expanded configuration. The walker includes a pair of side frames, each with a forward leg and a rearward leg. The legs are joined at their top portions by an upper support member. A cross member extends between the forward legs of each of the pair of side frames. The cross member has a hinge disposed between the forward legs. The components of the cross member can be folded relative to one another about the hinge to move the walker between the expanded and folded configurations, which allows for the frames to be positioned in an adjacent and generally aligned orientation when folded. The hinge has a locking mechanism for locking the hinge in the expanded configuration.

Abstract: Disclosed is an inflatable patient repositioning sheet that includes an inflatable body and a first air supply port and a second air supply port of the inflatable body. The sheet includes a first air delivery sock and a second air delivery sock in the inflatable body. Each air delivery sock has a first end portion and a second end portion, wherein the first end portion of each air delivery sock is in communication with one of the air supply ports and the second end portion is opposite the first end portion. The sheet includes at least one anchor member resisting movement of the second end portion of each air delivery sock toward the first end portion of the air delivery sock in response to air being supplied into the other of the air delivery socks.
Abstract: A mattress (100) includes one or more layers (101,102,103) of material, and one or more pressure sensors (104,105,106). A control circuit (203), operable with the pressure sensors, is operable with a user interface (115). The control circuit presents on the user interface one of three color-coded indications. When a sensed pressure detected by the pressure sensors is below a first threshold (603), the control circuit presents a first color-coded indication on the user interface. When the sensed pressure (605) is between the first predefined sensor threshold and a second predefined sensor threshold (604), the control circuit presents a second color-coded indication on the user interface. When the sensed pressure is above the second predefined pressure threshold, the control circuit presents a third color-coded indication on the user interface.
Abstract: A device for cleaning medical implements is disclosed, in particular a device for cleaning vascular or other fluid access sites. The device includes a cap having an opening to receive an access site. The cap may be used in the following manner: A healthcare worker may, with gloved hands, open the cap packaging and place the cap over the port of a medical implement to be cleaned. The healthcare worker may wipe the site by either applying a turning motion or by simply pushing the cap onto the port. The cap could then remain secured in place by threads other mechanisms. A cap in place on a medical implement may be a positive indication that a desired site of the medical implement is clean. The cap may include a disinfecting substance.
