Abstract: The present invention provides a direct tabletting agent, consisting essentially of lactose and cellulose with a ratio of lactose to cellulose, referred to the weight, of from 95 to 40:5 to 60, the lactose being present partly in crystalline and partly in amorphous form and the cellulose being present as finely-divided powder. The present invention also provides processes for the production of this direct tabletting agent.

Abstract: Process for the production of a milk protein digestion product which process comprises passing, at elevated pressure and temperature, a mixture of milk protein, at least one digestion agent, water and a composition, which liberates an inert gas at said elevated pressure and temperature, through an extruder and allowing the product to expand freely at the outlet thereof to give a foamed form-stable extrudate with a specific weight up to 0.4 g./cm.sup.3.
Abstract: A dietary snack product rich in fiber is produced by a process wherein a fiber containing substance which is difficult to extrude by itself is mixed with a protein such as milk protein plastifiable under extruding conditions, with the addition of water if desired, to form a mixture having a moisture content between 8 and 25%, and the obtained mixture is extruded at a temperature of at least 100.degree. C. The resulting dietary product may contain 10 to 80% rich in fiber such as bran and 20 to 90% of plastifiable protein.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for producing dry compositions containing thiocyanic acid and hexamethylene-tetramine wherein hexamethylene-tetramine is reacted with an alkali or alkaline earth metal thiocyanate in the aqueous phase in the presence of acid, and wherein the aqueous reaction product solution, without isolation of the reaction product, is combined with an inert carrier substance and dried.
