  • Patent number: 4186518
Abstract: A doll with an intermittently movable limb, e.g. a leg that kicks when a trigger is pressed in simulation of a soccer player. The doll has a hollow torso and the limb extends from the torso. A toothed rack and at least one gear are mounted in the torso, with the gear being geared to the rack. The axle of the gear is connected to the limb at a pivot point, so that when the gear is partially rotated by motion of the rack, the limb, e.g. a leg, partially pivots about the pivot point, i.e. the leg kicks. External trigger means are provided to displace the rack within the torso transversely to the axis of the gear so that the gear is partially rotated.

  • Patent number: 4003158
Abstract: A fighting doll has a lower torso and an upper torso having freely movable arms rotatably mounted thereto. Actuating means within the doll when actuated causes the upper torso to pivot relative to the lower torso and simultaneously swings one arm upward and the other arm downward from a resting position in a fighting motion. In one embodiment, the actuating means is activated by a push button extending from the lower torso. The upper torso is pivotably secured to the lower torso and to a central shaft which is fixedly mounted to the lower torso. A stationary cup gear is positioned on the central shaft and is in communication with arm pinions secured to shafts extending from each arm. The push button has a rack formed at its end which is in communication with a pinion rotatable on the central shaft. Fixed to the pinion is a sleeve which is secured to the upper torso. By depressing the push button, the pinion and sleeve rotate on the central shaft causing the upper torso to pivot.

  • Patent number: 3955309
Abstract: The stuffed bendable doll has an internal frame which supports the body and limbs of the doll. The internal frame is formed from a material which can be easily bent into a desired shape. Strengthening means within the internal frame gives added support to the frame. A connecting element rotatably secures the head of the doll to the internal frame. The hands and feet of the doll are rotatably mounted on the respective arm and leg support elements of the internal frame and are in communication with the strengthening means within the internal frame. The fabric skin is prevented from separating from the hands and feet when the arms and legs of the doll are bent to prevent the stuffing from escaping from beneath the fabric skin.

  • Patent number: 3942284
Abstract: The present invention provides a jointed doll having a head, upper and lower torso sections, a pair of arms and a pair of legs. The arms are relatively movable with respect to the upper torso section and include an upper section and a forearm section. The legs are relatively movable with respect to the lower torso section and include a thigh portion and a lower section. Hands relatively movable with respect to the forearm sections and feet relatively movable to the lower sections of the legs are also provided. The upper and lower torso sections are coupled to each other by means of a spherical joint that permits universal movement of the upper and lower torso sections with respect to each other.
