Abstract: Device for pollution control where a polluted stream of air or gas is purified from both oxidisable material and nitrogen oxides simultaneously by a combination of regenerative high temperature treatment and catalytic treatment.
Abstract: An air box in a regenerative thermal oxidiser has one or several beds of a heat-storing and heat-transferring material. The air box is connected with a gas inlet/outlet and comprises a gas permeable surface that is turned towards one of the beds. The air box has distribution devices provided in the air box.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and device for recovery of energy from a medium containing combustible substances even at low concentrations. The method is characterized by raising the temperature of the medium in a regenerative combustor such as a reversal flow direction combustion device wherein the combustion takes place in a warm zone, to the combustion temperature at which essentially all chemical energy of the combustible substances is transformed into thermal energy. The heated medium is then utilized for the production of a wanted form of energy.
