    Abstract: The present invention relates to a lens edge simulation tool (10) for measuring the fitment of a lens edge profile (LEP) with respect to a frame groove profile (FGP) of a spectacle frame (20), the lens edge simulation tool (10) having a defined edge profile (STP) like a lens edge profile (LEP) of a lens (6) being machined by a defined edger machine (4), the defined edge profile (STP) comprising a bevel portion (11) protruding towards a protrusion direction (A), wherein the lens edge simulation tool (10) further comprises a probe (15) provided at a distal end tip portion (14) of the bevel portion (11) and being moveable (M) along the protrusion direction (A) between a retracted position in which the probe (15) does not protrude from the defined edge profile (STP) and an extension position in which the probe (15) protrudes from the distal end tip portion (14).

    Abstract: A procedure for making glass frames obtained from boards made of a plastic or composite material includes a step for deforming a pre-heated single-layer or multilayer board along one or two curvature planes transverse to each other, wherein this deformation step is carried out before the board is milled to create the shape of a glass frame. The equipment suited to implement the above procedure includes a half-mold, an element configured to close the upper opening of the half-mold, and a deformable membrane, wherein the injection of air into an air space causes the expansion of the deformable membrane, which compresses a board against the half-mold, thus deforming the board accordingly.

    Abstract: The invention is a new boring unit for complex parts, including a fixing pin, suitable for holding the piece in its hole, and two concentric cylinders coaxial with the pin that are set rotating in the same direction by two electric motors. The inner cylinder is provided, at its end facing the grip of the pin, with a conical toothing, and the outer cylinder is provided, at its end facing the grip of the pin, with a tool-holder with radial translation mechanisms of the tools and a bevel gear wheel meshing with the conical toothing of the inner cylinder and connected with the radial translation mechanism of the tools. The radial translation of the tools is obtained by rotating the cylinders at different speeds by means of the electric motors, that is, by generating a relative motion between them.
