Abstract: A process for the manufacture of chocolate confectionery by entrapping a fatty cream with fine gas bubbles. The confectionery is manufactured by preparing a shell chocolate with open end in a mold, feeding under pressure a fine gas bubble entrapping fatty cream base into the shell chocolate through the opening to fill the shell, scraping off excessively charged fatty cream, solidifying the fatty cream in the shell, pouring a chocolate base on the solidified fatty cream to close the opening of the shell chocolate, scraping off excessively charged chocolate base, solidifying the chocolate base, and demolding the product. A stencil plate can be used, when the gas bubble entrapping fatty cream is charged into the shell of shell chocolate.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of detecting microorganisms, comprising the step of converting physical forms of microorganisms by antigen-antibody reaction and successively measuring the information that shows the physical forms of the converted data, and the step of comparing a statistical pattern of the values thus measured and a reference statistical pattern of a control subjected to no antigen-antibody reaction, thus detecting the microorganisms of interest. A change in both patterns, i.e., no correspondence thereof, enables recognition of the presence of the microorganisms of interest.

Abstract: A fructose transferring enzyme is immobilized by adsorption on a granular carrier having a primary to quaternary amine. The carrier is preferably an epoxy polymer, a vinyl polymer or a chitosan derivative having a primary, secondary or tertiary amine. Immobilization can be performed without or with a crosslinking agent. The immobilized enzyme is used for producing fructooligosaccharides by passing a sucrose solution through a column containing the immobilized enzyme.
Abstract: Tumor growth in a mammal is inhibited by the administration of an effective amount of xanthocillin X dimethylether. The xanthocillin X dimethylether is administered in a range of 10-3,000 milligrams per day for an average adult human patient. The xanthocillin X dimethylether can be administered orally, by direct application into a neoplastic lesion, or by other parenteral forms of administration including intravenous, subcutaneous, or intramuscular injections. Also, suppository forms can be used.
