  • Patent number: 8003046
Abstract: A method for operating a cleaning device or a cleaning system is proposed. In this case, the cleaning device is set up for carrying out a process for cleaning an article with a germicidal action. The method includes the following steps: information on a target germ with which the article could be contaminated is received; at least one process parameter of the cleaning process is selected according to the target germ in such a way that the target germ is killed with a high degree of probability during the cleaning process; and the cleaning process is carried out with the process parameter.

  • Patent number: 7935195
Abstract: Multi-tank dishwashers are used, in particular, industrially, in order to clean items which are to be washed. The invention relates to a multi-tank dishwasher which is provided with a washing area. The washing area comprises at least one rinsing water storage tank, at least one filter housing, at least one fine filter and at least one backwash device. In the normal mode, a filter wall of the at least one fine filter is cross flown in the direction from a waste water chamber to a pure water chamber. In order to clean the fine filter, the multi-tank dishwasher can be operated in a backwashing mode, without interrupting the washing process. In said backwashing mode, a cross-flow of the at least one filter wall of the rinsing water is reversed by using a backwash pump and a waste water pump. Dirt particles, which are located on the inner side of the filter wall, are rinsed off and are removed by the waste water pump in the waste water outlet.

  • Patent number: 7901517
Abstract: The invention relates to a conveyor dishwasher having at least one washing zone (6, 7), at least one rinsing zone (8, 9) and a heat-recovery device (13) with a suction-extraction means. The dishwasher also comprises a drying zone (11). Openings (17, 18, 19, 20, 21) are provided for the suction extraction of air from the dishwasher. The overall quantity of the exhaust-airstream (24) can be varied by means of closing elements (25, 26, 27, 28), in dependence on the operating state of the dishwasher, by virtue of the openings (17, 18, 19, 20, 21) being completely or partially closed or released.

  • Patent number: 7884498
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for operation of a dishwasher, a total maximum electric output is assigned to a group of electric consumer elements of the dishwasher. In addition, at least two output levels are assigned to each electric consumer element of said group. An optimum combination of output levels is then selected in a requirement determination step, based on an operational state B of the dishwasher, whereby for each consumer element the selected output level is adapted to the output requirement of the consumer element in operational state B and the total output of all consumer elements does not exceed the maximum electric total output. The output levels of the individual consumer elements are optimally adapted in accordance with the requirements in operating phases of the dishwasher, thus allowing a response to be made to any fluctuations in the operational state.

  • Patent number: 7695568
Abstract: A method for assessing and guaranteeing the thermal hygiene efficiency in a multi-tank dishwasher in which there is at least one sensor that transmits a temperature inside at least one treatment zone to a machine control system, in particular to the control system of the multi-tank dishwasher, the method includes: detecting the temperature inside at least one of the treatment zones by the sensor; determining the heat input applied to the items to be cleaned in at least one of the treatment zones on the basis of the temperature determined; comparing the heat input in the at least one treatment zone with a predefined heat input; and, as a function of the result of the comparison of the heat input values, varying the transport speed of the items to be cleaned through the multi-tank dishwasher, or varying the temperature of at least one of the process parameters acting on the heat input values as a control variable in a control loop for at least one of the treatment zones.

  • Publication number: 20070131260
Abstract: The invention relates to a conveyor dishwasher having at least one washing zone (3, 4), at least one rinsing zone (5, 6), a suction-extraction location (23) and/or a heat-recovery device (11). The dishwasher also comprises at least one drying zone (7). The flow direction (30) of the exhaust air within the dishwasher runs from the outlet (8) to the inlet (1), counter to the transporting direction (9) of the wash ware (10) through the dishwasher, the suction-extraction location (23) being arranged in the region of the inlet (1) of the dishwasher, and volumes of air (28, 33) which are withdrawn from the drying zone (7) being dependent on positions (34, 35) of exit nozzles (26) for hot air within the drying zone (7).

  • Publication number: 20070104608
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for the recooling of cleaned items in automatic cleaning and disinfecting machines for containers containing human excreta. According to the proposed method, the items to be cleaned, which are contained in a chamber (1), are rinsed off inside said chamber (1), after which a precleaning rinsing step takes place. The items to be cleaned, which are contained in the chamber (1), are then subjected to a final cleaning with water that contains a clear rinse additive, before the items to be cleaned are subjected to a disinfection step in the chamber (1) by introduction of steam into the latter. With the door (5) closed, air is forcibly introduced into the steam-filled chamber (1), which leads to steam condensation inside the chamber (1) and also to cooling and drying of the cleaned items contained in the chamber (1).

  • Patent number: 7025882
Abstract: This invention refers to a waste disposal plant for wet garbage, especially for refuse from large-scale kitchens. The wet garbage is transported by compressed air or a partial vacuum from decentralized input stations (30) to a central discharge device (12). A sieve-like collecting funnel (14) is provided there, from which liquid exits to an external collection area (19) and is drained off at intervals. The remaining wet garbage has thus already been largely drained when is passed on for further processing, for instance to a grinder (80) and a water extraction press (90), before being fed for instance to a food refuse silo (94).
