The method may comprise: if the UE supports paging early indication with paging subgrouping assistance (PEIPS) assistance information, inserting a paging subgrouping capability indication which indicates UE's capability to support PEIPS assistance information into a registration request message; if the PEIPS assistance information is supported, inserting UE's paging probability information in a requested PEIPS assistance information of the registration request message; transmitting the registration request message; and receiving a first message including the PEIPS assistance information. The PEIPS assistance information may include a paging subgroup identifier (ID). A non-access stratum (NAS) layer of the UE may indicate the PEIPS assistance information to a lower layer.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an operation method of user equipment (UE) comprises: stopping, by the UE which supports a store and forward (S&F) satellite operation, a first timer if the first timer is running and if the UE performs a procedure with a cell which is not a S&F (Store and Forward) satellite cell and receiving a first message including a S&F satellite operation parameter. The first message may include at least one of a service accept message, a service reject message or a detach request message. The S&F satellite operation parameter may include a store and forward monitoring list indication (SFMLI) field. The method may further comprise: if the SFMLI field is set to “S&F monitoring list present”, deleting any previously stored value for a S&F monitoring list of a current public land mobile network (PLMN) and storing a value of the S&F monitoring list for the current PLMN.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for monitoring a paging channel in association with a small data transmission procedure in a wireless communication system. A terminal may initiate a small data transmission (SDT) procedure. Further, the terminal may monitor a paging channel, while the initiated SDT procedure is ongoing and a timer is not running. The timer may be associated with handling a failure in resumption of a radio resource control (RRC) connection. The paging channel may be monitored based on that i) the SDT procedure is associated with configured grant (CG) SDT and ii) an extended CG SDT periodicity is configured. The extended CG SDT periodicity may be used to calculate a transmission periodicity for uplink that corresponds to a resource determined using hyper system frame number (H-SFN) information and system frame number (SFN) information.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for power saving using tracking reference signal configuration in a wireless communication system. A terminal may receive a first system information block (SIB) including a first tracking reference signal (TRS) configuration. Further, the terminal may use the received first TRS configuration for power saving in at least one radio resource control (RRC) state. The first SIB including the first TRS configuration may be separate from a second SIB including a second TRS configuration.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of this specification, there is provided an operation method of user equipment (UE). The method may comprise: upon coming out of an unavailability period, performing a tracking area update (TAU) procedure. The TAU procedure may include transmitting a tracking area update request message. The method may comprise: if a first timer is not running and if the tracking area update request includes unavailability information, but does not include a start of the unavailability period, locally releasing a non-access stratum (NAS) signalling connection, upon completing the tracking area update procedure.
