Abstract: A frame assembly for installation into a door or window casing is provided. The casing has a top and two side studs. The assembly includes a head jamb, a pair of side jambs, and a pair of connecting mechanism. The head jamb is removably securable to the top stud. Each side jamb is removably securable to a respective one of the two side studs. Each connecting mechanism for connecting a respective one of the side jambs with a corresponding end of the head jamb includes a first component and a second component. The first component is provided on the head jamb, and the second component is provided on the side jambs. The first and second components are removably engageable, and allow the frame assembly to be installed and uninstalled from the door or window casing. A method for removably installing the frame assembly is also provided.
