Abstract: An exterior rear vision mirror for a vehicle is rotated about its axis, within its housing, by an electric motor, and is restrained from significant vibration by a flexible drive from the motor to the center of the mirror, and by stabilizer ring coaxial with the mirror and pressing against it to maintain it in the desired plane. In wet conditions, rain drops are thrown centrifugally from the mirror, keeping it clear. In dry conditions, the mirror may be cleaned of dust by water directed from a nozzle onto the central part of the rotating mirror.
